Heres a tip for all you travelers that wear the bags off your shoulders. When I got my camera I wanted it on me always so I hung strap around my neck. It dug into my neck and by the end of a long day taking random pics I was sore. When we where going to Disneyworld last July I decided I was not going to walk the parks with my camera strap digging in my neck. I went to walmart and bought a seat belt strap cover. I wrapped the cover around the part of the strap that was going to sit on my neck. The days would get really hot so I would wet the terry cloth strap and when it laid against my neck it was oh so cool. These straps are also good for shoulder bags or any kind of bags or straps that would most likely dig into your shoulder. They can be washed and are inexpensive so enjoy the tip. I did all the parks last July with No chaffing or rubbing it was great and I had my camera at the ready for those random shots.

Great idea. You figured out a very important thing most people forget about. Prior to going to Disney, I bought a REALLY comfortable long strap for my DSLR.

The first thing people should do when they buy a new camera is replace that lousy neckstrap it comes iwth.

This is a great idea! Thanks for posting. :)

picked up a cool gadget at Wal Mart myself. They have a water bottle cap with an adapter that screws into your camera tripod hole. Great for actually positioning your camera to take timed shots of yourself. really small, cheap and balancing a camera on a rock or table sucks. Check them out.
