was a hugh success ::yes:: and my extremely picky DH
over stuffed himself. :teeth:

Congrats!

Now I wish I had the stuff to make some.

That reminds me of the time my parents were watching our first-born. He was a good eater - loved mac-n-cheese. She made some for him, but he wouldn't eat it because it wasn't orange! (yikes! little did he know that the best kind was the homemade kind - she wouldv'e put food coloring in it if she knew it made a difference!)

I love homemade mac and cheese made with sour cream. Mmmmm. It's so amazing. Not really in the same family with the boxed stuff.

minniecarousel - Aren't kids great.

MerryPoppins - I put cubes of ham in mine. A friend made it that way one time and my DH really liked it. I just pick out the ham as I'm not much of a pork eater.

LOVE homemade Mac n cheese! One of my favorite comfort foods!

Pooh67_68: Would you mind posting the recipie? I love Mac n Cheese but have never made any my self. Actually I´ve never tasted it homemade (only on kids menu´s in US restaurants, not quite the same I suppose).

Thanks!

Pooh, could you please post the recipe or PM me with it? I'd really appreciate it.

Freyja sure no problem, its quite easy actually.

1 lb. Macaroni (mind you it is just DH and me, you could always use more if need be).

2 logs of Cracker Barrel Cheese any flavor you like. (If you like it reall cheesy than you can use more).

1 lb. of Ham cubes. (Optional)

Milk

Cook your noddles until slightly done. (don't cook until completely done because they will finish cooking in the oven. I also don't rinse after straining).

While your noddles are cooking, slice your cheese (not too thick) and cube your ham.( I bought already cubed ham).

Put a layer of noddles in the bottom of a casserole dish, add some ham, than cover with cheese.

Repeat ending with a layer of cheese on top. You should have cheese left over, just put that around the sides of the dish.

Make a little hole (usally at one end) and pour the milk until you can see it. (usally not quite half way, just enough to stir it later on).

Cover and bake at 350 until cheese on top is melted, uncover and stir, than leaving cover off continue cooking until completely heated through.

Serve and enjoy. :D
