Traveller: Me, myself and I.
Destination: Coronado Springs Resort
Duration: From 29 april through 13 may.
Chapter: DAY 6 (sunday 4 May).
However I was allready awake for a little time the wake up call was ringing. I picked up the phone. This time it was a little bit different. I remember that I first heard a part of the Tiki Tiki room song. After that it was of course Mickey himself. Anyone ever heard a song like the Tiki Tiki song after asnwering the wake up call?
Showered and get prepared for the day. Put the anti sunburn lotion on. Its still iritating. Watched some TV and went to the bus stop about 8.45. You never know how much time you need to go from resort to resort. Quickly a Disney MGM studios bus come. Of course I needed to ask someone where the buses go. At night I can see the destination info by myself, but during the day its not possible.
At Disney MGM studios I waited a few minutes for the boat and was on a nearly empty friendship boat. Two stops later I was at the Yacht/Beach club boat launch. Checked in at the podium at the Cape May Cafe and got a buzzer type, this time it was also with illuminating lights.
I think ten minutes later I was buzzed and seated. Appart from the fact that there were characters around, the buffet was different and more luxueus then the at the Maya Grill.
Of course I started with the hot stuff, as allways. No waffle this time, because I saw pastries and cakes of all kinds. Oh it tastes so good. Items you need to pay piece by piece at the bakery you can get as much as you want. I think I went two or three times back for the pastries. Of course I finished the meal healthy with some fruits. It was nice that there were characters around. As a solo person its just nice to watch the characters interacting with the kids of other nearby seated families. Of course it was nice to give every character a hand. At the and of the meal I saw Minnie, she didn't show up at the table. I thanked Minnie and the nearby cast member for the great breakfast buffet and service.
For this character breakfast I used a voucher that was part of my Florida Fun in the Sun pass. On the voucher was printed that everything was included. Meal cost, taxes and gratituty.
That should mean that I didn't need to tip, but I tipped two dollars, because it was such a good experience. I took the time for this buffet. It was really great.
Think it was 11.15 when I finished my breakfast. Went to EPCOT using the International Gateway. Because the irritation on my shoulders wasn't gone I did today at a relaxed pace. At EPCOT I started with the Innovation buildings. Did them both, but can't remember in which order. Took lots of time to check out everything. Also I sat down for some time during a presentation about gardening which was going on in a room adjoining one of the Innovention buildings. Also visited the Living Seas for a nearly 45. Missed the ride they had. Now they have just the Hydrolators.
Also went to Ice station Cool. I allways like this place much, since you can cool off and try some uncommon drinks. What me surprices was that the Cast members were playing chess at the counter. Seems there aren't that much people that come in and buy Coke products. What I can't understand why don't they sell bottles with the drinks you can sample there. After that I did Space Ship Earth and went also to the Immiginations ride. Also browsed through Mouse Gear for a while.
Can't remember what I did more in futureworld this day, but I took my time and it was about 6 o clock when I decide to eat in Notway. Restaurant Akkershus has a moderate priced buffet meal. I think they have one of the best deals for dinner in World Showcase. It used to be an all you can eat buffet. Its still an all you can eat buffet, but they changed something.
Only the cold dishes and soup is on the buffet. The hot dishes you have to order from the menu. After you order it takes about 10 minutes to prepare. They changed it because then you will get fresh food. Maybe its never busy in this restaurant and the food was cooling of at the buffet while there weren't enough people to take it. What reason they really have for the change I don't know, but I liked it better how it was before this change.
Now you need to choose one hot menu item. In the past you could try out a little bit of all.
Although the cold breakfast was as good as it allways had been, but didn't like the change with the hot items.
After finishing my meal I walked around world show case and visited some shops. Saw the Movie in French and Canada. After the movie in Canada I walked to my favorite spot to view Illuminations. As allways a great show. I enjoy it every time I see it again.
After Illuminations I took the bus back to Coronado Springs. Got a free Coke and decided to walk around the the lake, what I hadn't done till now. Also checked out the Dig site. Of course it wasn't that busy, because it was something like 10pm or later.
Didn't swim, because of my shoulders.
Got another free coke in my mug and went to my room. After watching some TV I felt asleep.
