My first ever at disney

I I assume u all will appreciate this. Today I'm shooting my kid and two neighbors kids with Elsa and Anna. I went in there and got what I think is the perfect exposure for how bad that room lighting is so I was having a ball. The two characters were really taking their time with the kids so I was moving all around. I pretty much pushed the photo pass guy out of the way I guess cause before I went over to aurora I was asked to lower my flash output cause I was messing up the photo pass guys shots. I guess with my using my joe demb saucer I was bouncing off a lot of light and throwing off his textbook shooting. My neighbor laughed and said only I would get yelled at Disney for something like that. I politely said sorry and proceeded to aurora. Got some good shots there and left.

That has never been said to me before. Has that ever happened to u guys? I used to wait for the photo pas guys so they could do their job but I found te character was done at that point and wanted the next guest to come on over and I always felt rushed. This trip in just going in quick and getting what I want and need. Maybe that sound means bit at least now I'm not feeling rushed that I need to get out for the next people.

Never happened to me at Disney. If i was not ruining other people photopass images it would not bother me at all. If i was taking pics of my own family I see this as perfectly fine. I am not using/ buying anything from photopass anyway.

Tonight I'm going to pull them off my camera. Lol. I think I got some good pics in those rooms finally. The lighting sucks in there and the lifts throw off some funky yellow tint too.

Never ever happened to me either. I just had my 430 flash with my saucer like I said. Nothing weird.

Oh I was at the new Minnie meet today too in HS. The lighting in there is awesome! I told that fast pas girl she has the easiest job in Disney right now. lol. It was awesome in there nice white light. Bright. Just good.

exactly. It was just us and it was my family and I told them I wasn't using photo pass so why would he shoot anyway. Didn't ever know he was. Just weird. And in the nice guy usually. I let them do their thing then I do mine cause I know it's thier job and all.

The photopass photographers are not professional photographers. Some of them just barely know how to press the shutter button and thats it. I was told by one of them a few years ago that they are taught to put the camera on one of the preset modes on the dial and only use that. I told him my camera (Nikon D300) doesn't have any of those, I just use Manual. He said there would be no way he would use my camera and laughed.

So if one of them is telling you that your flash is screwing up their shots, I would take it with a grain of salt.

They are probably afraid one of their managers will see their overexposed shots and give them some grief. And I bet they are required to shoot the meeting, whether you ask them to or not.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If it were me, I would have kindly apologized and kept doing my thing.

If they said something again after that, I might explain that I don't intend upon purchasing PhotoPass, and request that they not use their flashes to "mess up" the photos I had waited 2 hours+ to take.

ya know I figured that too but with Sophia yesterday they asked if using photo pass and I said no and he didn't shoot. He also didn't move for me. U know how tight that area is so I kinda had to wiggle my way in there. Lol

lol. I did exactly what you said. I said sorry. Moved to aurora and did my thing. I hear ya about the later too. If I had to wait that long and they messed me up I would have been so mad.

Oh as I side note. We were next for Anna and Elsa in line. Aurora had just freed herself up from the last family so she cAme over to our family and signed the books before we went up to Anna and Elsa. When we got over to her it was like 2 snaps and we were done. No interaction or nothing. Is it me or do you all find that rude? My kids like the interaction way more than the pic. She would much rather talk to them.

Is it me? Do I expect too much? I do t think so bit maybe it's me?
