Backstage Safari. I loved this tour!!!! (Warning...spoiler!!!!)
I would highly recommend it. I went on this tour last Wednesday. It lasted from 8:30 - 11:30/12:00. We started out introducing ourselves since we were all going to be together for awhile. Then we got in a van and rode behind the scenes to the Vet Center in Animal Kingdom. It was VERY interesting. Unfortunately, there were no procedures going on, so we didn't see anything. Then we walked to the Animal Nutrition Center. FYI: if you're allergic to hay....this is not the place for you!!! We went in the hay barn and then we watched people prepare the food for the animals. Then we had a snack and watched a short video on the training of the animals! A lady came in with a covered box. We were a bit wary...expecting a snake!!! But, it was actually a lizard that we were able to pet!!! Afterwards, we rode to the Bird area. We saw the incubators and some 2 birds that are in a species that is almost extinct (like only 87 in the world)!!! I love birds, so this was one of my favorite areas.
Afterwards, we rode to the Rhino Barn. We saw 2 rhinos. One was only 1 years old...Lucy..she was so cute. The other one was 4 and was HUGE. We were able to touch him!!!
Then, we got to go on our own personal safari...without the usual spill!!! It was so much fun....we were even told where some hidden mickey's are on the Kilimanjaro Safaris!!! We also got special pins that said Backstage Safari!!!
I would definately go again!!!!!!
