My Fastpass+ Experience

We usually go in the winter and are throwing in a quick summer trip this year. I couldn't believe the difference in availability of FP over our previous winter trips. It was crazy! Our last trip was January, crowds 2-4's and we could only get A&E on our 7th day. At 60 days for the first week of August (crowds 8/s) A&E were wide open, same with parades/wishes etc. I don't know if the summer crowds don't know to book as early or what, but I was very surprised at the availability!

Just finished and got everything we wanted (at the times we wanted) except for FOF parade. Was anybody able to get it? We are there 8/16-8/25 and it wasn't available at all- just wondering if it hasn't been released yet??

I had a pretty easy time even though we had to do it 30 days out one day at a time which is a pest. We had some trouble in the parks however but that is whole other issue.

Other than meeting A&E is there a certain order of attractions that you added first? Our trip in October will be our first with FP+ and I was just wondering what other attractions go quick enough that you should try for those first?

We did it in chronological order so we started with Sunday (our first day) and ended with Saturday (our last). We tried to select the attractions we waned most (Soarin, Everest, Kilamanjaro, SDMT, Space, TSMM etc.) and then worked the others around it. Even for Soarin and SDMT we were basically able to choose the time of our choice. Like some of the other posters above, if you do it 60 days out like we did, you shouldn't have many problems getting the attractions you want

I was able to get FP+ scheduled for our arrival day, which is one day ahead of our check-in day. Don't know how, but I did.

LOL, I also just scheduled FP+ for A&E and 7DMT on most days. I'll go back and change it as I need it. All other attractions should be no problems switching.

I can make mine in 11 days. But when I'm on MDE it's saying that only my daughter can access scheduling because it has already been assigned to her user ID. We have no idea how that happened since I've been doing all the scheduling and she doesn't even know what her sign in would be. I'm nervous that I won't be able to schedule anything.

I just got back last week and learned something I didn't know, CMs can get you better times! I was making reservations for the Pirates and Pals Cruise at the resort and the CM pulled up my fast passes. I had the ones I wanted but not great times especially at AK. They were all afternoon ones and I really didn't care to spend the whole day there. In about 2 minutes he had them all changed to morning times with us on the Safari at 9:10, Lion King at 10:10 and Kali river Rapids at 11:10 . Our original had us Kali River Rapid at 4:10-5:10. With the CM's time were were done by our 1:30 Rainforest ADR.

Nice to see a positive experience! The only one I am stressing over is TSMM, because we have only 1 day at HS and it's a late arrival day. The rest of it will happen and if not we will wait!

I don't think you'll have a problem, whether you're making FP+ at 60 or 30 days.

In your shoes I'd call tech support ahead of time to make sure it's set up right. I'm not sure I understand your exact issue and it might be nothing, but it would put my mind at ease ahead of staying up to get everything selected in a few nights. 1-407-939-7765

Glad it went so well, OP. I remember how nervous I was before making my first FPs. I was happy that it turned out to be easier than I thought it would be. Of course, I studied up on the tips provided here, which couldn't have hurt!

I am prone to over-worry about things so I really read anything about FP I could find. Positive experiences, negative ones. I probably overdid it, but I definitely learned from others' mistakes.

So far the system has worked for me with no issues. I was able to get all the FP's I wanted, and have been making changes here and there with no problems. I am a little over 3 weeks out from our trip and I was still able to add A&E last week, later than I wanted too, but I was able to book it for my daughter. Hopefully it works just as well while we're at the parks.

I know when this first started it was very unpopular but I did it this week for 4 of my 5 dates and had no problems getting what I want and in the time range I wanted them.
