My most recent stay was at the Polynesian back in November. I went with my friend who is admittedly much more of a Disney fan than I am, although I still like it!

We had dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table. I wasn’t too talkative with the princesses, but Snow White did start a conversation with me and addressed me as “royal prince.” As someone that’s non-binary (AFAB, but presenting more masculine), I appreciate that she was paying attention. It’s safe to say that I love Snow White now! 😁🙏🏻

I have also gotten compliments on my they/them pronoun pin by a few cast members, meaning that they are likely trained to pay attention to things like that.

I’m looking forward to heading back this year. It’s a safe space in Florida!

Happy to hear you are looking forward to coming back to FL! These stories are encouraging for other similarly situated people.

There is no place on Earth like a Disney park. Safe, innocent, happy, accepting, friendly. I can't understand why anyone, especially LGBTQ+ people, wouldn't fall in love with the place.

Glad you had a great trip!

I wonder how the characters are trained to address someone that states they are NB. I'm glad Snow White got it right for you by saying Prince! I suppose if they aren't sure, they just say something else entirely maybe.

More and more CMs are using the generic "My Friend" for everyone. Royal characters, if they are unsure, often use a generic "Your Highness" or similar Royal title.
