My experience with FastPass+ and regular Fastpasses - Game changer

As that guest, I would end to agree BUT the ability to have a FP in hand for a headliner like Soarin when I wake up and not have to scurry to the park is still very nice.
~I agree. We're commando's -- and we are in the parks from sun up to sun down. It's very nice to not even look at a fastpass machine.

~I was like this Disney fastpass automaton -- "programmed" to pull a fastpass -- race to another ride then pull another fastpass afterwards at whatever random time we were given and then race all the way back over to the same area we were just at earlier to redeem our fp's -- over and over for the entire day until all the fastpasses ran out. It was such a waste of time and energy for us. We actually got to enjoy the parks this time, not just the rides. :cool1:

So haven't been to Disney since 2010, but remember hating having to make dining reservations so far in advance which in turn dictated my entire day in the park. I remember racing through the park to make a dining reservation that I made 3 months earlier.
Fast forward 4 years to the Fastpass+, now not only did I have to make all my dining reservations 180 days in advance, but now I needed to plan which rides I was going to be on, at what time, and make sure they did not conflict with my dining reservations and make sure they weren't on two complete ends of the park.
Am I the only one that absolutely hates having my entire trip planned out in advance. I'm not even there yet and already feel like I am going to be on a clock this whole trip. Whatever happened to doing what you want when you want; this is supposed to be a vacation isn't it? Curious to hear from those who recently returned.

Your questions have been hotly debated here for years now. Go, have fun, and use the system the best you can. If you're used to pumping out 6 or 7 or more FPs per day without preplanning then this system will take some getting used to. Otherwise, you'll likely find FP+ no better or no worse than the old one.
