I recently sold a handmade quilled chess set on ebay, I was so excited. It went for $100! Woo hoo! Of course, what I have to say here is that it took me a solid month of evenings making it, working on it for at least a couple of hours every night.
The same person then went and bought a snowflake from me at a different auction a week later, after I had already mailed the first item. Didn't even realize it was the same person at first.
Then it happened. Not so happy anymore. I received the chess set back in the mail with a HUGE "REFUSED" on it. I emailed her, I hadn't shipped the snowflake yet. I asked if there was a problem. She replied, no..whatever do you mean? Refused? I didn't refuse it. I confirmed her address. She then says to me.. have you mailed the snowflake yet? And I said.. no I haven't, it's going out tomorrow because I had to add the gemstones you wanted. She asks if I can combine shipping on the two items and refund her some of the shipping costs. I explain that I am happy to combine them, but instead of a refund on shipping would she accept another snowflake instead? I figured this way it wouldnt' cost me anything, I have a bunch of the snowflakes made up for a craft show I'm doing soon. She replies that would be wonderful and blah blah blah. Ok... so I'm a sap... I should have realized this and checked her other auctions to see what else she was buying. (She has PERFECT feedback by the way)
Fast forward to today when I get a message from paypal that my account is in dispute because she hasn't received the item. I check my delivery confirmation and lo and behold she received it today. I emailed her to ask what was going on. I get no reply. I check my ebay account and she left me 2 blistering negatives. I'm a new seller, I only have about a dozen total feedbacks. She said my work was hideous and that I told a bunch of lies and that i shipped it without any packing causing it to be ruined. hello? can you even do that? I had packaged the chess set in a case that had separate compartments to keep the pieces safe, I used bubble wrap for it and tissue in a priority box!
So I emailed her back and asked that she return it.It was insured so I know that I can file a claim if it's truly damaged. I will give the witch a refund if I get it back, it was a LOT of work. (Oh yeah... I threw in 2 snowflakes for the bleepety bleep bleep just to be nice!)
Now, here's the thing. She has been buying quilling supplies, and I think she only bought mine because she wanted to see how it was made.
I know I don't have any recourse but holy cow, I'm so upset and everyone is sleeping at my house. Here is a link to see the chess set and a link to the snowflakes. Threse aren't active ebay items so I hope it's ok to post them. Please tell me, am I wrong? They aren't really hideous are they?

Oh yeah!!! My paypal account is still frozen because of her claim! Since I have the tracking number do you know when they will release it?
