My DVC tour experience, if you are considering it, here's how it is

Thanks for the post. We will be taking the tour when we go in the end of April. I heard there are some good incentives going on now.

I hope to be a DVC owner in the near future.

Thanks for the "teaser" as well!!

We bought in last month and plan to take the tour in June just to view the models. May even look at adding on depending on what's available. Seems like a real pleasant experience, and we're looking forward to meeting our guide in person since we purchased "long distance." Never seen any models/rooms except for internet photos linked around here, so we're excited since our first DVC trip is on the horizon! Enjoyed your post!

i had brad smith as a guide/seller he was wonderful not at all pushy , if you go for a tour ask for him , you wont be pushed at all besides you get to go to the ice cream parlor at the end  ... by the way they have a child care center that m son (5) was very happy in ,:woohoo: games ect...

oooh.. I can't wait to take the tour in December now! yay!

Just a reminder, while my son ( 9 1/2) was very happy in the child care center, my DDs took one look and said "no way"--there isn't a lot for older kids who don't play video games to do. That was one reason we let them miss the first part and meet us at DD later. Of course since the oldest is 16 I felt OK with them on the bus alone--I don't know if she'd been younger if I would have allowed it.

Congratulations and welcome, SSR neighbor! DH and I decided on a July 2006 WDW to join DVC. We contacted DVC when we got home (not having gone on the Preview Center tour) and our guide (Gib) was very low-pressured and answered my 45 minutes worth of questions thoroughly and patiently! :) We bought into SSR and when we made our 1st visit "home" last summer, we met Gib and he gave us a tour of the GV and we also toured the AKV models. Upon viewing these models, DH and I decided to add on at AKV. We told Gib we were interested in an add-on at AKV. He told us to wait a week or two because he thought Disney may be offering double developer points soon. He said he'd contact us as soon as he heard anything about the promotion. He was good to his word and called us the day the promotion was announced and we added 125 AKV points. I agree with the OP in that it was a painless, easy, low-pressure sales! :goodvibes
