My son said to me last night at the dinner table -- "I was sooo sad at school today and I couldn't get happy". I asked him why and he said he was "really homesick". I thought maybe we hadn't been spending enough time together as he spent friday night and all day saturday at a friend's house. Instead he said "I was thinking about Hilton Head and Beach Club Villas and I wanna go HOME!!!!. Then he GRINNED! Ahhh, that's my Disney Kid!!! Thank God we have our next two trips planned. Hey, Andrew, Love ya, mean it!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Now that makes me wish they had DVC when my sons were young, back in the 80's!

Hi,

That's so sweet!!!

Bobbi-- My kids are so crazy about HH that both kids say they want to establish a tradition that no matter what is going on in our lives, we will all be together at HH for Thanksgiving -- with or without other family and friends!!! I figure that even when they are in college (DD is 15), they will be home for Thanksgiving, so we will all go there together or meet there! We even just spent a small fortune to have a hitch installed to our van and bought a 4 bike bike rack so that we can take their bikes (and, perhaps, their friends' bikes) on those trips!

And, I am so excited about my daughter and her friends being able to spend spring break in Orlando where we know they will have great, safe accomodations with fridge, microwave, stove, etc. Uh oh! Think I am going to need more points!!!! :teeth:

I knew things were getting bad when my daughter (5 at the time) was trying to get mommy and daddy's attention at the dinner table. She had to frustratedly shout over us "POINTS, POINTS, POINTS, ALL YOU DO IS TALK ABOUT POINTS".

She was OK with our conversation once I told her we were talking about "Mickey Points";)

Even my DH who does not like Disney at all absolutely loves Hilton Head. He told me he actually misses being there. I'm homesick for our second home too and can't wait to check in next week. I actually fell asleep last night thinking about all the familiar things I can't wait to see and experience again (playing pool in the Den, sitting on our porch, having chicken fingers on the deck outside the take out place, walking out to the fishing pier and staring at the houses in the distance, chilling out at the main pool, the Atlantic Ocean, the beach house and so much more).

I called a few minutes ago for the activities list and was told I have to wait until Saturday for next week's list. I'll try to hold on that long!

HH here we come!!!!!

Now I'm home sick for HH and we don't own there. I'll keep wishing on my star and maybe there'll be an addon in my future!
I know DH would do it in a minute, he loves HH as well. We've actually been to HH (7) more than WDW (5). I just realized that!
WHERE'S THE MONEY TREE? I need to do a little triming.

Sandy

Awww! And congratulations you have successfully brought up a DVC Disney kid!!!:teeth:

My 3yo DD is pretty hooked too! We left BWV 11/1 and she started crying when we were getting ready to leave b/c she did not want to leave Disney World. So I told her I was sad too but that we'd be back in February. She started brightning up and then asked, "We going to stay in our Boardwalk home?" :earsgirl: She was total smiles when I told her we'd be back at Boardwalk!!! ::MinnieMo That's my girl!

Congratulations, Minni! Your DVC DD is also very well brought-up! My kids used to cry at the end of trips. Now, they keep looking forward to the next trip!!!
