My DS can't start college next week

Holy Cow! Very serious - he is one lucky boy.
So glad he is recovering and good wishes and prayers for his continued speedy recovery.

But at least it happened now and not in mid-semester.....

Is there a possibility that his school could switch some of his classes to independent study ones? Maybe that way he can work on them once he's feeling better and won't be a semester behind in credits.....

I'm glad he's recovering! Sorry your DS can't start college as planned. The same thing happened to me in 2000 and I was in the hospital 5 days. It does take a while to get your strength back afterwards atleast 3 weeks. Then a couple of months after that to feel completely healed. (It may be sooner for your DS since he's A LOT younger I,37 when it happened).
