My DS is 3 and has finally got the concept of Santa this year. He saw the Big Guy a few weeks ago at our church fair. So DS sat on his lap and told him the he wants the 'talking tool bench' for Christmas, he gets his candy cane and that was it. So all he has talked about since was Santa and this 'talking tool bench'. DD is 5 and loves to wish on the first star every night. So we went out the other night just after sundown and DD very quietly starts with 'Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight.....' while standing in the middle of the driveway looking up at the sky. Then, her darling little brother walks up next to her, stares at the sky for a couple seconds, looking confused, and then screamed "I WANT THE TALKING TOOL BENCH!!!!" and walks over and climbs into the van like nothing happened :rotfl2: .

What a weirdo :rotfl:

LOL!! That's such a cute story. Kids are the funniest, aren't they? :goodvibes

BTW, my DS who just turned 3 got the "talking tool bench" for his birthday and he loves it.

It is good to know that your son likes that toy. We were able to get one at Walmart on Friday with some bonus items. I'm sure he will be very excited on Christmas morning. I'll have the video camera ready in case we have an America's Funniest Videos moment here!

Well, he's just covering all the bases, isn't he? :rotfl:

When dd was little, she was scared of Santa and refused to sit on his lap. She would, however, hang over the little picket fence around Santa's village at the mall, and waiting until he wasn't busy with another kid, she'd lean over and yell, "Santa! HEY, SANTA!" When he'd look her way, she'd yell, "I WANT A BARBIE DREAMHOUSE!" or whatever the toy was for that year. :rotfl: One year, he sent an elf over with a candy cane for her after he'd finished laughing.

Kids are too much!!Like today the little girl that I was watching is 2 and I asked her what she wanted for Christmas and her answer was washclothes :rotfl2: We all got a good laugh at that....

My 3 yr old niece is starting to understand the Santa thing too, but she's a bit confused. I was watching her & her 7 yr old sister Saturday night. They were both very well behaved and I was telling the 3 yr old that I was going to call Santa and tell him to start making the Tinkerbell doll she wanted & the puppy dog toy her sister wanted. She told me "no, Santa doesn't make that stuff." So I asked her "what does Santa make?" and she said "Presents!". :goodvibes

Too cute! It's never a bad idea to cover all of your bases! Maybe I'll go out in the driveway tonight and yell, " I want a spring break trip to the Beach Club!" :goodvibes
