From the moment I found out I was going to Disney World it was all I could talk about and think about. Countdowns, any kind of list to prepare, visting the boards, researching anything I could, trying to find anything besides my soul to sell on ebay to add to the infamous "Disney Fund" jar.... if its disney related... I'm into it.

My DBF and I have been wanting to go to Disney for awhile now, but we wanted to wait until we were 21 to go. So after about a long painful year, we have booked the trip for June 12-19, and I am SUPER-excited!!! PS: we actually almost had to re-book the trip if I didnt notice in time I have to take the LSATS the 11th... so after weeks of stressing out for studying for that I get to unwind on the most magical place ever and chill with the mouse ;)

Allow me to now introduce you to the lovely vacationers:

This is me. A cutsey posed picture of me, but me nonetheless. I am a junior in college majoring in communications and integrative media. I am obsessed with the Little Mermaid (it was the first movie I ever saw, and when my baby sister was born I insisted that she could never nap because she had to watch the tape with me) My interests include... cats! (I have three, perhaps to be introduced later), John Mayer, capri suns- although those mega pouches need to come back because those little ones just dont cut it, and of course my boyfriend, Geoffrey!

And heres Geoff, my DBF. Also a junior in college.. we met first week freshman year and have been together ever since. I've had some major difficulties with my parents and he has been the most amazing person ever. Even though he's overly into Batman, hes definitly excited about going too.

Because of the problems I have had, I live with Geoff due to the cost of dorming and he has an apartment. For his 21st birthday his family all chipped in to send us to Disney (!) He has been there 3 or 4 more times than me, and I havent been there since 3rd grade (although I have been to DisneyLAND twice inbetween my 3rd grade trip and this one coming up). Through all my Disney vacations though, I never had stayed onsite. Geoff kept saying how nice POFQ was, but I wanted to have an experience someplace he hadnt already stayed so after much research we picked Coronado Springs.

From there I got a book on Disney, which led me to this site.. and I have been taking in as much info as possible since. I started mapping out meals and what days were dedicated to what park... I never had a chance to do all the planing and do the deciding on where we would go on a vacation, so it was a great feeling picking out what we would do.

I mapped out every parks hours on the days we would be there with the EMH, made a weeklong calander with picture of the park logo we would be at.... I seem to be pretty insistent of my time dedicated to the trip, haha.

After doing some research on the food, we decided to get a Dining Plan. With that options of getting all the TS meals and we are alloted meals each day, we wouldnt skip meals and feel like we always had to get the cheapest thing on the menu to save money. Being college students, its hard to save up for the trip... our only responsibility was paying for things inside the park, which meant all meals and souvenirs. So we figured if all the meals were paid for upfront we would be able to eat at nice restaurants without feeling like we were spending too much and then whatever we have going into the trip was fun spending money.

Here's what we came up with:
Day of arrival- Coral Reef
MGM- Hollywood and Vine with Fantasmic package
Epcot- Princess Storybook breakfast
Magic Kingdom- Tonys Town Square
Animal Kingdom- Donalds Breakfastosaurus
Magic Kingdom- Crystal Palace
MGM- Sci-Fi Dine In

If you guys have any suggestions on better places to eat please let me know! I really dont know ANYTHING about Disney restaurants and picked these places because they sounded most reasonable with my tummy (I have bad IBS and cant really keep any food in me without taking medicine before every meal :( ) I dont know much about the places in the resorts and whatnot, so your input is really helpful!

Well.. thats all for right now, hope my life isnt too boring to read through :goodvibes The anticipation is killing me and June is way to far away!!

Wow, great start on your pre trip report:thumbsup2 I can feel the excitement in your words. Disney is always exciting, isnt it?:cool1:

We will be making another trip there in Mid June, with the 3 kids.. I am just as exciting as if it were my first time.;)

Looking forward to reading more of your pre trip report.

Your trip report is off to a great start! There is a lot to think about when you go to Disney! I am also a big time planner. I guess that explains why I love reading trip reports on the DIS.:cutie: I have eaten at the Sci Fi Dine In. The Oreo milkshakes are really good. I am looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip! :cool1:

over 2 months since my last post... i am less then two weeks away from my trip!!!!

since my last writting.. i have turned 21.. and am looking forward to delicious strawberry daiquris on vacation! haha.. so you all let me know the best place to get one!

from my above posts, i have changed my hollywood and vine and tonys town square ADRs to california grill.. which i am sooooo looking forward to!! there were only like.. 3 openings when i called.. and i foolishly took the 6pm instead of the 9.. when there is supposed to be a 10pm wishes show.. but eh... i'll get over it--- i dont think anything could ruin my disney spirits! :)

i have also set up a diver and personalized menu at coral reed for the dbf... it will be our first meal there.. and i cant wait to surpirse him with it! i had like.. 6 pictures, and then asked to have lyrics from certain disney love songs around them... i cant wait to see it!

besides having insane urges to start packing now... i have been consuming my life with studying for the LSATs.. taking that test is probably the LAST thing i want to to THE DAY before disney, but at least is will be an awesome present for getting through it, right? hahaha

oh.. and for anyone who has seen marie from aristocats... where can i find her??? i have a white kitty and NEED to find her!

although i'm a pink kinda girl... geoff promised to do the bag holding.. so we had to go with black.

thats all for now, i suppose... perhaps more later... if people actually are reading this :) haha

Cool, we're going to be in WDW almost the same times... I'll be there the 11th-18th!

ok.. so i am thinking about having a gift basket waiting at the hotel for dbf for when we arrived.. BUT.. as i looked at memories by sarah's website.. there is a note: if you are wanting delivery between June 8th and June 26th, Please place your order by the end of May as I will not be able to respond to emails or phone calls during that time.

i emailed her this morning and havent heard anything back yet.. i'm worried i may have missed my chance :(

are there any other places that do this and deliver to the resort in the timeframe i have?? i want to do any many special personalized things nfor him while we are there.. so if anyone has suggestions, please let me know! :)

11 days til Disney! :cool1:
10 days til LSATs :guilty:

i'm either ready to give up on law school or rambeling on and on about random disney things to the bf. i sooooo want it to be june 12th so i can hug mickey and never look at a logical reasoning question again!

after going through about 90 links on my countdown (that was dragging to the floor) and now seeing that there is so little left...

all of our stuff that came through the mail has been sent to dbf's dad's house, so this weekend we'll bring it back home with us and start going through it.. i really have no idea about this magical express, or even what time our flight is for that matter... (all i know is i insisted we needed the earliest flight so get the most out of the day!) so after getting all that in hand and being able to start packing soon... i think i shall be in disney heaven!

Wow, 11 days! Your trip sounds so fun. And the dress you are wearing the first pic is sooooooooooo cute. I love it.

I hope I can answer a few of your questions. On gift baskets - if you were too late for Sarah, you can try the Disney florist or GiftsofaLifetime. They do some baskets, but I don't know how far in advance you have to order.

As for Marie, people has seen her recently in France in Epcot or by The Great Movie Ride in MGM.

Good luck on your LSATS!

Can't wait to read more!

Hope you have a great trip! (take lots of pics)

Oh, and love the dress!!

8 days to go!!!!

I've decided that since i'm able to officially say "I'm going next week" its ok to start getting things together and start packing :)

I lucked out and was able to have a basket made by Sarah for Geoff. I'm so excited to see it!! Its going to have 2 Mickey wine glasses, sparkling juice, 2 Mickey chocolate rice krispie treats and Mickey ears with our names on them :wizard: the only thing we vowed to absolutly buy were the ears and I cant wait to surprise him with them at the hotel when we arrive!

I also got all of our reservation stuff this past weekend (it all was sent to DBF's dads in NJ) and I guess I didnt realize how early in the day we are getting there... 9:18am! I was pumped when I found out we would have a good portion of the day there. Of course, never have used the Magical Express and whatnot, I dont know what time we will actually set foot in our first park (Epcot).. but nevertheless.. i'm excited.

Today I went out and did most of the shopping that needed to be done.. soaps, toiletries, you know. Our mini backpack came today too... I made Geoff try it on... he jokely asked if i was going to pack it tonight... I refrained from wanting to say yes. :rolleyes1

I also found this super cute Minnie Mouse tank top at Target...

Mousercise!!! I have a Little Mermaid tank and Tink tank too :)

Besides that.. I've been compiling a list of questions that hopefully some of you wonderful people can answer for me: Would you recommend bringing a laptop?? I would only bring it to load all my pictures on. I have 2 GB, but worry I will run out of space.. I'll have the resolution set at mediumish (for like a 5x7) I anticipate being a picture maniac, but dont want to bring the computer if its unnecessary.

As far as tips go.. who must I all tip? I read about the Mousekeeping, and the jist I got from that was like $2/day?? Besides that... must we tip anyone at the airport or hotel otherwise?

For waterparks... do people just nix the camera that day? I'm worried about getting it wet or having it stolen, but dont want to miss out on picture opportunities. What do people generally do for those parks??

Sorry this "report" consisted of some questions, I just figured it people were reading this maybe I could get some answers :thumbsup2

Other than what I have been preparing for Disney speaking.. I have been cramming my little brain with LSAT questions. I literally have about 4 more days to study! :worried: I have vowed to take 2 practice test every day under timed conditions.. which equals out to about 5 and a half hours a day. Friday we leave for NJ, (where Geoff's parents live) I relax the weekend to give my brain a rest, Monday's the big test in Philly, and Tuesday we leave for Disney bright and early! It's going to be a long and painful week.

5 more days :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

so, last minute i decided to back out of my LSAT and take it in september. i just didnt feel ready enough and couldnt risk a bad score :( it was just way to stressful

memories by sarah sent me a picture of my basket
IMG_278420Small.jpg

i'm really excited to see it.. and see geoffs reaction :)

heres my bible for the week:
DSC00843.jpg

DSC00844.jpg

now i dont know whats sadder about this.. the fact that i took a picture of my entire schedule... or the fact that this was glued in my book in february, when i figured it all out.

all i want to do is pack... but once i do i feel like i will be sitting here with a suitcase just waiting and waiting. any other day i would HATE having to wake up at 4:30 am... but somehow i get the feeling i wont be able to sleep the night before anyways.

I love your Pre-Trippie!
I haven't been on aim to see how you lucked out with the character site! I hope you find Marie and Prince Eric!!! :)
I can't wait to hear about your trip when you get back- by the time you return we will be less than 4 weeks away from our trip!
Have a great time! :goodvibes

The basket looks great. Hope LSATS went well and you are having a wonderful, relaxing time now!
