My family has a history or breast cancer. I understand you are freaked out. I will tell you this,
if you happen to have breast cancer (and I hope you don't), there has been major increase in the procedures that has to be done. Most women don't lose their breasts any more. You would probably have to go through chemo (sp) though, which is not a pleasant experience. I have heard, though, there is this woman at UCLA (I think), who is doing extensive research to find a complete cure for breast cancer. She's not far off.
I know what it's like to have something glooming over you. I suffer from migraines, so I had to have tests run on me to see if I had a brain tumor. Then in the past few years I've developed abdominal pain which could have been caused by stomach cancer, liver cancer, or problems with my liver, gallbladder, stomach, etc. I went for a CAT scan once, and they found something in my liver. I had to go back and have a sonogram to get a more detailed picture. I was so scared. It turned out to be a blood clot, which is nothing to worry about (unless it bursts, then I bleed to death).
I would love to tell you to do stuff to keep your mind occupied, but I know how hard that is. Perhaps you can do research on it and find out about treatments and stuff. And do other research on other types of lumps that can be found in the breast. Then when you see your doctor you will have a knowledge base.
You will be in my thoughts.
