My Disney Store CLOSED...help

I was so excited to go to my local Disney Store in the mall. I live in Hickory, NC. To my dismay, it was closed. I was going to get some Disney dollars and a few little things for our upcoming trip at the end of August. I went on disneydirect.com and typed in disney dollars in search and got nothing. How do I find these. Also disneydirect.com just didn't seem to have some of the stuff I wanted to find like baseball caps, flashlights, and just some small stuff I was going to mail ahead of time to surprise my son and nephews. I also googled "the disney store" and didn't get much help there. I would love a list of locations for any disney stores left and maybe some other sites to purchase disney stuff. Thanks for any help!!!

If you do not have a Disney Store near you, you can order Disney Dollars by mail by sending your request stating how much you want in what denominations ($1, $5, $10 or $50) to:

Include a note describing the amount of each desired denomination ($1, $5, or $10).

The shipping charge is $3 unless you want "Express" delivery (5-7 business days) then it is $10.

IMPORTANT Reminder: If you use a credit card to purchase Disney Dollars, any amount over $50 will be treated like a cash advance and your account charged the corresponding fees. All mail orders will be charged $10 per order shipping and handling. There is a limit of $650 per order. Make checks payable to "Walt Disney World Ticket Services".

A few months ago, a reader sent in a tip on ordering Disney Dollars through the mail. Ramona writes with an even speedier method: "We are going to Disney World this May. I wanted to give our two boys Disney Dollars for their Easter basket. Since we do not have a Disney Store very close by, I wanted to find out if I could order them -- but knowing I was under a time constraint (less than two week s) I was worried they would not arrive in time. I was told that I could order via fax. I faxed in my order first thing Monday morning, and what do you know? The very next morning, there was the Fed Ex guy with my Disney Dollars! The best part was that the shipping was free! You can fax your order complete with the denominations ($1's, $5's, or $10's), name, address, and credit card information, to 1-407-566-5645. Thanks, Disney, for the first class service... AGAIN! "

More Disney dollar info: If you order them through central reservations, which is where that mysterious allearsnet.com fax number went through, you can do it over the phone instead of via fax at 407-566-4985 ...have also heard there is a $10 shipping charge per order via phone.

I had no idea the store in Hickory had closed. We used to go often, but have not been in a while. I wonder if the one at Southpark Mall in Charlotte is still there. I guess I dont need to go now, since I will be with Mickey in Florida in a few weeks.

Just so depressing to hear!!!

The one in Southpark Mall has been closed at least two years. There's still one at Carolina Place in Pineville.

Some of the Mills malls have Disney outlets -- I have my fingers crossed that we'll get one at Concord Mills some day.

TarHeel - I know what you mean - we are at Concord Mills at least two or three times a month. I have not been to Southpark in about 3-4 years - just not ever over that way, but I guess I am not over towards Concord either!!

However, tonight I will be - going to see Duran Duran (I know I am showing my age!!) - see my post about blowing my budget!!

Have you guys from NC ever went to Jonesville, SC to the catalog outlet at the distribution center.We used to go ever other month but haven't been in over a year.I was wondering had anyone found anything good.TIA April
