hey

We are coming to Disney for 15 days. Just me and my partner both in our mid 20s and out plan is

10 days in Disney parks

2 days in universal studios

1 day in a Disney water park

1 day sea world

This is our plan. What you think and would you change anything

10 Days can actually be a lot in Disney's 4 theme parks. I see you have a water park on there, is that in addition to the 10 days? Also, it depends on the time of year you are going/how crowded it is expected to be. you might consider an off-day/resort day or something. Then again, I could probably go to MK every day and not get bored.

We'd need dates and more specifics to really critique your plans. Are you going to make dining reservations? Which shows do you want to see? You'll definitely find the best advice here.

Yeah I have the 10 day ticket plus water fun and was going to have 1 full day in the water parks

We plan to go in mid October or start of December

We are doing the Disney dinning plan so would book some in advance yeah

And yeah want to see lots of shows :)

10 days is great for the Disney parks! Plenty of time to get everything done without rushing- far more relaxed. 2 days is enough for Universal with 1 day for each park. Seaworld you don't need more then a day. The water parks I haven't been to in many years but 1 day's probably fine for one of the two anyway.

If I were you I'd skip Sea World entirely and just do another water park at disney. SeaWorld does have cool stuff, but with Disney and Universal, you will probably not miss much else unless you love sea creatures that is. You are jamming it a bit too much.

Do:

3 days at Magic Kingdom
3 days at Epcot
2 days at Hollywood Studios
2 days at Animal Kingdom
1 day at Blizzard Beach
1 day at Typhoon Lagoon
1 day at Universal Studios
1 day at Islands of Adventure

One of the disney parks might be closed on the dates you go. If Blizzard Beach is closed, do Typhoon Lagoon, and Wet N Wild at Universal. If Typhoon Lagoon is closed, do Blizzard Beach, and Aquatica (SeaWorld's water park). If both disney water parks are open just do both of them and skip the other water parks.

I mean what is this sea world like. Is the rides any good ?

Would I be better doing bush gardens

That's sounds a good plan to though

Do you need a full day at the water parks though ?

Well honestly there are only 4 rides at SeaWorld that I like, and all of those you can find similar ones at Disney and Universal.

Kraken is a good ride, but the Incredible Hulk, Hollywood Rip Rocket, and the Rock N Roller Coaster are all better rides in my opinion.

Journey into Atlantis is good, but again Splash Mountain, Ripsaw Falls, and Jurassic Park Drop are all great water rides that are at least just as good.

Sky Tower I also like, but the Twighlight Zone Tower of Terror, and another tower ride at Universal (Forget the Name) are great rides.

Manta is the only ride at SeaWorld that you won't find rides like in Disney or Universal but again its not THAT fun.

No don't to Busch Gardens Tampa either. Animal Kingdom is much better with the animals.

The first big thing that is missing - is a BREAK. Seriously - this is a killer schedule. Take a couple days off, Disney is exhausting. That's the beauty of long vacations is that you don't have to do a killer pace, you can take a break. I would do something more along the lines of 1 day SW, 1 day at water park, 2 days at US and 7-8 days at Disney - this would give you 3 MK, 2 EP, 1 AK, 1 HS, and a possibly a free day to back and explore whatever park you feel you want more time at.

Have you considered doing a package through Discovery Cove? That would be an AMAZING experience (much better than a water park), and such a great "break" day. The price seems high, but you have to remember that your price includes a 14-day pass to Sea World and Aquatica, breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks (including alcoholic) all included. For only $25 more you can get Busch Gardens, too.

So.... consider this:

Skip the water park & more part of your Disney tickets, and definitely don't bother with park hopper. You do not need them on a trip that long. That money saved can go towards your Discovery Cove package.

So, perhaps look at:

2 days US
1 day Discovery Cove
1 day at SW (yes, the rides are good and if you like animals the shows are good too)
1 day at Aquatica
1 day at Busch (great rides, and good animal interaction, too, while it isn't themed as nicely as AK, I've read that the interactions are actually better/more hands on at Busch)
8 days MK
1 rest day

I don't want to put more pressure on you, but I also want to add Gatorland as well. Don't forget that park if you are interested in alligators.

Based on your timing...if you come in Mid October you may not want the DDP. The Food and Wine festival will be in full bloom and I have found that eating my way around the world makes for a nice dinner a few nights of the week. Just depends on your tastes.

I think in general it is hard to say if 10 days is the right amount. It all depends on how you plan on visiting the parks on a daily basis. What pace do you normally go at? Are you making 1-2 ADRs that will cut into your park time? Which parks are your favorites and how many repeat days at each? Just some things to think about.

For us, fourteen days of theme park is too much.

I love WDW and US, but eventually the experience wears thin.

One of the first things that wears thin is the experience of eating in WDW. I start to resent high prices, long waits, cheap ingredients, limited choices, and especially the lack of fruits/veggies. A bacon cheeseburger is okay on day one, but come day three, I'm craving healthy! Good luck finding steamed veggies in WDW! WDW veggies come in micro-portions coated in grease, HEAVY salt, and/or heavy sauce!

The food over at US is slightly better with slightly better prices. Still, by a wide margin, our recent best Orlando meals have been the ones we ate offsite! (food quality and value!) It is saying something to rank the airport meal as #1!

We expect lines for attractions, but get tired of lines all day: bathrooms, coffee, fixing a non-working magic band, park entrances, bag checks, and every afternoon/evening another parade clogs all the park pathways!

The walkway between your room and the bus stop/food court will always be the most convoluted indirect path possible! :) I don't mind some walking, I just crave a few short paths.

As others have said, WDW is much walking. I think you'll discover you want some shorter days. Except guests are no longer allowed to skip ADR's without a fee! Getting across WDW for an ADR can be a long journey!

Then there's the antics of all the other WDW guests: folks too lazy to flush, line cutters, people who shove, people who don't watch where they are going, folks who stop at the top of the escalator, folks who don't think ahead at all. You'd think everyone waiting 20min. in line at a Quick serve would take a moment to READ the menu, right?

You only give us the basics....but to be blunt, your health is more important than your age. All ages do well to take daily 30min walks to prep for WDW. You'll also do well to invest in quality walking shoes. One little blister is all it takes to make for a very long day!

You also don't say how much you like thrill rides, Harry Potter, shows, etc. Some folks tend to focus on thrill rides, others are happy to focus on expensive meals, and shows. Some folks could careless about Potter, others could spend hours in that small part of US. WDW rides are more about story than thrill. US is a bit geared towards thrill, but also story telling. Without kids, you might find the kiddie rides dull...though it sounds like you are going with the idea of seeing all WDW has to offer.

Still, if this is your first visit, unless you are coming form a very long distance...I think nine days total of theme parks is as long as I would suggest. Our happy limit is about six.

I'm going to be a bit of a decenter here compared to many of the other replies. With that long of a trip I'd plan at least 3+ days for Universal/IOA. That's especially true if you are a big Harry Potter fan. If Money's no object I like Mshanson's plan with some slight modifications

7 days Disney
(2 MK, 2 EP, 1 DHS, 1 DAK, 1 returning to favorite)
3 days Universal
(Park Hopping each day)
1 day Discovery Cove
1 day Sea World
1 day Aquatica
1 day Busch Garden
(Discovery cove ticket can bundle all of these together).

1 rest day.

At this point, I think Universal Studios is much better than Disney Hollywood Studios. So if you're going to short change a park I'd short change DHS.

Depending of if you're planning of switching hotels or not, spread the rest day, and Discovery Cove day apart (and possible the aquatic day) to relax between the major theme park touring days.

We finally visited TL water park after many decades of visiting WDW. As water parks go, it is well themed. Like all of WDW it is family oriented. It was never at the top of our list because we can go to water parks other places.

Second, if you stay at any decent resort in the Orlando area, the hotel pool will probably be a fun one. Many have water slides. So we never felt the need to pay extra. All WDW and US hotel pools are great, many offsite ones are also amazing! Look around!
