We are headed to WDW in February. I haven't booked our room and tickets yet but I need to start making dining reservations. I have been to WDW since my Disney experience started.
Can I set up my Disney experience before I book my room? Am I correct in thinking I need to wait to book ADRs until I have my trip booked and my Disney experience set up?
Please help! So much has changed in the past couple of years.

It's just a "my account" section of a website. There's nothing magic or different. Set it up.

You can make dining reservations 180 days before the day you want to dine.

If you have an onsite reservation you can make reservations 180 days before your checkin day plus the time of your reservation.

So it's not attached to a reservation? When I book our room later will that be attached to my Disney experience?

Your adrs will show up in your MDE account as will your resort reservation. Mine have shown up automatically, if they don't you can link them with the confirmation numbers/reservation number. If you can reserve the room I would go ahead and do so, it just takes the $200 deposit, then you can book your adrs for your whole trip instead of day by day.

Anyone can set up a MDE account, we also stay offsite with extended family (who never stay onsite) and we all use the MDE to book adrs and FP+, view photopass photos, etc..
