My Disney Experience...new app

not bad but after running it it looks like the location services is ALWAYS on (see that arrow in the top right corner)

be careful with this thing, it could be a battery killer

I LOVE it! Especially since the wait times and FP times come straight from Disney and are reliant on other users.

I sure hope they come out with Android by September. I am NOT taking my iPad in the parks. I might just have to use my son's iPod. If he'll let me.:rotfl:

I am having some glitches with this app. I tried to sign in with my Disney id and it asked me for some security questions. I answered those and then it went to "loading" and has been loading for almost 5 mins now!

I just downloaded this last night. I haven't had a lot of time to review it, but from the quick glance, it looks like it will be good.

Remember folks, this is a sneak peek as there are multiple phases coming soon for this app.

Android will be coming soon, as well as Windows Phone and Blackberry.

ADR support is not in this phase, not really sure which phase it will be in (I will ask).

This is just a sneak peak? In that case, I am more excited about it. Even this one I am making my sister download so she can start thinking about what she wants to do. So much easier when she can see how far apart things are. :)

I have an IPod Touch 1st generation, has anyone had luck downloading it on one of those? With the new free wifi-feature in the parks this could be really handy with my IPod.

It's pretty cool for the iPhone, its absolutely amazing on the iPad. It's going to be tough leaving the iPad in the room!

If the app is stable...kiss all those "user-reported" wait time apps goodbye :wave2:

Mine is the 2nd Gen iTouch and it works nicely so far. I too was thinking how nice this will be with the free wifi in the parks!!! party:

Exciting! :cool1: I can't wait for the Android version - our phones and my son's new tablet (that arrives today - he doesn't know about and won't get until his birthday next week) is Android. Would have been cool to be able to install it on his tablet before I wrap it up, but just excited about the upgrade. The Mobile Magic app is rather limited.

I had to answer questions last night, too. Also noticed that it changed the # of digits in my password from my WDW id to a number that corresponds with my apple id as it signed in. Weird. Now I was just asked to sign in and it won't recognize either password. In my case, user error is most likely at this point. :rotfl:

Can't wait to hear about that. It does support making new dining reservations and sent me the typical email confirmation.

Now I'm REALLY excited! :cool1:

(I gotta learn to start doing that 'multi-reply' thing... :guilty:)

Once you are logged in, just go to any post you wish to quote. In the lower right corner, there is a quotation mark to the right of the quote box. Click on that quotation mark and it will become red. Go to as many posts as you wish to quote and do the same thing. After the last one, hit "quote" or "post reply" and all chosen posts will appear in your reply box. It won't work if you don't log in first. Good luck.

Just keep in mind that Disney is know for manipulating wait times for certain rides. It looks like a very nice app, and it's great to have another source of information, but I wouldn't consider it the end all be all of wait times in terms of apps.

The fast pass information is very nice. But for wait times, lines can still be useful because I believe it combines official Disney wait times, with actual reported wait times, and also takes historical wait times into consideration as well.

The character part of the app is incomplete. It didn't show many princesses in the town square theatre nor Mickey mouse in the MK at all. Alice was missing from Mk and Epcot lists but she was on map???? There were many other inaccuracies . Hopefully they'll fix all that.

I downloaded this app this morning and am having no luck logging in. It keeps telling me there is an error and to try back later. I've been "trying back later" since 9:00am:confused3

I installed on a current gen iPod Touch. The requirements for the app only say OS 4.2 is required, no hardware restrictions so it should work on your iPod as well.

thanks for posting! When I get through the pile of papers on my desk, I'm going to download it!

Thanks again!!!!

I have not yet finished signing in to see if wait times are actually available from home (MM's geographic lookup was annoying when you were on a bus going to a park, and downright terrible when it told you that you were not in MK when you were at BTMRR,)

But it's a 100% improvement over MM or the Ut app being able to seeing future days hours !
