My Disney Experience = My Disney Nightmare; need some help please

Okay so we are basically combining two parties that all already exist in MDE. My party which includes:

Room 1:
2 adults
2 kids (although one is now 14 which I think matters in MDE)

Room 2:
4 adults (3 are already in MDE, one has never been)

Room 3:
2 adults
1 kid
All in MDE; season pass holders


As of right now I manage the plans for all of Room 1 and Room 2 as it's my family, my parents, sister and BIL. Our friend manages all the plans for Room 3. Now here's what it gets tricky! We can not for the life of us figure out how to allow Room 3 manager to access Rooms 1 & 2 plans. We want him to have access for purposes of reserving FPs when the window opens.

Also I'm only linked to one of the adults in Room 3 but somehow am "managing" plans for the other adult and the kid; I think maybe because I entered them on my own. OMG why is this is hard?! Seriously folks, this shouldn't be THAT hard to accomplish. Any tips?
 
I’ve had a similar experience and no matter what I did I couldn’t see all the people in the other room. I could only see (make FP for) the adult that I directly linked with.

I had to call Disney, they were great, I just needed some basic info... that room’s names, email address, postal address, and some general info.

Then they hooked us up, so now I can see all of them.

I don’t think you’re missing anything, I just think it’s a system mistake.
 
Thanks! We may have to just call them. I've been 2 hours trying to figure anything out and quite possibly have a bigger mess than when I started. LOL

If you don’t want to call, just give Room#3 your MDX login info and they can help book FPs.
 

When I called I selected My Disney Experience and it was literally no phone wait, I was all connected on MDE and off phone in under 10 mins.

I absolutely had to connect so we could share photo pass pics and I could make group FP reservations.... they’ve never been so I didn’t trust them to get their own.
 
I managed FPs and ADRs for a group of 16 a few years ago. We had three separate rooms at AKV. On MDE you have to go to "My Friends and Family List" and add the people who you are traveling with that are not currently in your MDE account. You can import these users directly from a Hotel Reservation. You need the confirmation number and the last name on the reservation.

Once they are linked to your MDE account, you should be able to take care of everything for everyone
 
As long as you are all linked in friends and family and have it set up so that each other can plan for the others then you're all set.
The process is simple. You send the request to the main person on the account and they have to go into their email and confirm that you're allowed to help plean and see everyone they manage. As son as that's done you're good to go.
I had to do this a couple years ago for a party of 16.
 
Room 3 theoretically has access to my family's plans as we are friends in MDE (room 1 & room 2) but when he goes into his account only sees half the ppl on the reservations. So now, I believe we are at the calling WDW for help point. Hopefully they'll get it sorted out.

Each person in your Rooms 1&2 have to be linked individually to the Room#3 guy. He has to request the link.

Right now, he only sees you because you requested the link. That doesn’t allow him access to everyone - but your login ID used by him allows full access.
 
I would just call and save yourself the trouble. I have them the three log ins for the accounts and they made sure I had everything right. I only had to make a couple adjustments with the way we set up. It was so easy and they were very helpful
