My Disney Experience App Question

Hi all,

I've been a lurker on the site/forums for quite a while. Very good information shared here. I have a quick question. We are leaving on Saturday for a week in Disney. We planned a few 'surprise' dinners for our girls (Tusker House and Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party). My oldest daughter is asking for the login details for the MDE app, however if I give it to her she will be able to see the reservations as she's listed as in our party. Is there a way to hide the reservation so that she can't see the details?

Welcome to the Dis, and I hope you have a good time. Unfortuantely, I don't think you can hide those details from someone who logs in to the account. I think you will have to withhold the login lest you spoil the surprise.

I think when you add friends and family it asks what information you want them to see, doesn't it? I have always just allowed everything so I can't remember.

You should be able to create an account for her and link it ot yours. Then, on the events you want to hide, remove her from that reservation. For example, your "Be Our Guest" reservation would be for 3 listed guests, plus one.

Can she create her own account and then link to your reservation?
That way if you add the event as a "note" you can choose who in your party can view it. So unless you select her, it will be absent from her itinerary.
And then for the ADR - did you select her as diner? I know the ones I booked and didn't select who was dining do not show up in my husband's account.

megster is right - you have to avoid naming the other members of your party to keep it a secret and create separate accounts. Even then I would be worried she could see my itinerary and the fact that I have a reservation there!
