My Disney Experience Android app update---GREAT!!

I have a question and please bear with my app-impaired lack of knowledge as I do not have a smart phone. I am the planner, scheduler etc for our upcoming trip. My 3 family members all have smart phones, 2 have the Samsung Galaxy s4. Our DS has the s4, is at home with us.DD also has the s4, lives in Orlando. My DS quick looked at the app and asked me who's email should go in..and I am guessing mine since I have all the planning info, all contacts are to my email? Like I said, I dont have a smart phone and DS not too thrilled about me killing his battery by making him be the app -man, so DD may be the one we turn to while in the parks, or both. I am not a fan of having your nose stuck to your phone but would most likely hope to use it to get our additional FP's after our first 3. We will in the parks over Labor Day weekend so I am thinking crowds (even tho some say very low, I am planning on more than expected, just have a feeling).
Can you put several emails in? I need the most basic of info~sorry gang, I'm still in the 1950's lol

I have an older samsung smartphone and when I try to update it says my phone doesnt support this app. What the heck disney. Im not buying a new phone. Any ideas

For some reason the Android app won't link my reservation correctly for FP+. I can login and see my current reservations (including FP+ made via the website) but when I go to add FP+ it asks to link my reservation, and when I do that is says those details are linked to DW's account and won't allow me top proceed.
Called WDW tech support but all they could do was agree it wasn't working correctly and report the problem...

I know on app or website, we have only been able to like reservation to one family account and that account manages plans for the family. We haven't been able to link a resort reservation to more than one account - We assumed that was intentional... So if your wife has the reservation then maybe her account is the one that needs to be used to make plans. :confused3

:wizard: Can you use the MDE app on a Kindle Fire? I've searched and found articles that say you can and some that say you can't. What's the deal? :confused3

I just recently bought a Kindle Fire HD. The MDE app doesn't show up in the App store for me. And when I browse the Amazon App store on line, I can find the app but it won't let me download it because it's not compatible with my device. From what I've seen on-line, it looks like maybe it works on the older Kindle Fires but not the newer ones for some reason.

Am I the only one that can't seem to load the character page? It just sits at the "loading" screen forever. I already uninstalled/reinstalled (S3). :confused3

Yes, it's ridiculous that it can't (officially) be installed on Android tablets.
I like the update because on the old version I couldn't edit FP+ bookings. You selected the day (underlined on the calendar) and it gave the previous date..

I am having the EXACT same problem!!

That's the thing - the whole reservation - resort, tickets, DDP is all in my name, and until she set one up yesterday she didn't even have a Disney account. This is what puzzled the tech CM.

If it doesn't get resolved I think I have found a workaround - if I make some FP+ reservations on the website I am then able to view/change those on the app. I just can't do anything if there's nothing already on that day, because it then asks to link the resort reservation.
That's what matters - being able to modify plans while in the parks. I can set up the initial FP+s on the website.

If you go on the MDE app on Amazon, I wrote a long explanation why MDE hasn't been ported to Kindle Fire (I go by "CraftyReader"). Essentially, after calling both Disney and Amazon, this is what I got:

1. It's a pain in the butt to port the code onto a forked version of Android (plain speaking: they'd have to rewrite the code for Amazon Fire).

2. It worked on older versions because those were the 1st generation Kindle Fire 7". Anything after that, such as the HD's 7 / 10" or the HDX's are out of luck.

I've tried everything - including side loading and it just doesn't work at all. Don't waste your time.
