thank you for the sweet kind replies!
I think the birthday boy has turned into the terrible three's! He kept us awake almost all night- prolly nightmares from his new toy! It is called "Spike the Ultra Dinosaur" from Fisher Price Imaginext toys. This toy is by farthest the coolest toy we have owned! He likes it in the off mode- it came with a remote control. Last night we turned it on and he went running under the dinning room table crying " I scarred, I scarred, I scarred"!

But as long as its off he drags it around the house like its his best buddy. His Blue's Clues Balloon somehow managed to come off the string and has made a home on top of the vaulted ceiling.

He has a balloon fascination. That is one reason why I like to drive to DL- so we can bring our balloons home! We rented a few movies - POTC #1 and he is liking the pirates. Not sure if we will take him to go see the new one yet- for I don't want to be distracted from my Johnny!

Prolly get a sitter. I can not wait for this movie! I had wanted to go to DL in may- just for the Pirate stuff due to the movie release. But- I am hoping that Captain Jack Sparrow will be out for a photo op when we go in June! I would love a picture with him!
sometime today- I will make my hotel/motel reservations. I have waited far too long! i am afraid that if I wait any longer- they wont have any rooms left! Then I will be so mad at myself for procrastinating. Choosing a place has been real difficult. It always is. I can never make my mind up- even after I pay for the room- I will still go back and forth if I made the right choice.

It's also one of the best parts of trip planning! I love hotels! My hotel requests change from time to time- and also depending who comes with us, and where we go. So for this trip- It will be me, DH- did I even mention his name or age? I don't think I have- well he is 38, well almost 38- June 15th he will be 38 and his name is Nate. And we will be bringing DS3- Ethan.
I know what I want and don't want-
1. Must be walking distance- no ART this time! That actually eliminates a lot of places! Alot of nice places- Someday I would like to stay at Anaheim Sheraton Park- with a park view balcony room. I would also like to stay at Anaheim Sheraton- the castle looking one! I love castles! That hotel looks really wonderfully charming and romantic! Another place- Hyatt Regency Orange- but only if I have alot of kids with me- and get one of those suites! Those rooms look pretty nice and modern! I might even want to try out the Anabella someday. I go back and forth on that one. And I must stay at the famous Disneyland Hotel atleast once in my life time- I prefer it to be completed first if I am to fork out huge bucks! I don't want that experience to be ruined over construction and ugly views of unfinished work. Maybe next year for Carsland release? I can be optimistic that DH will get an awesome job and spoil us!

I had also really wanted to stay at PPH. And even more so since I saw they got rid of those ugly bedspreads! But they have some issues that hold me back- a long walk, slow elevators, and the biggest deal breaker- NO SPA!!!

what was Disney thinking? How could they not put a spa in a on-site hotel? Just doesn't make since to me at all. They say you can use the Grands spa- but seriously I don't see my fat but trouncing thru the PPH lobby, cross the street, go thru the Grand lobby, and then off to the spa!

All in my swimsuit with a cover-up that doesn't really cover up! And then back up to my room and all the lobbies soaking wet? No thank you! They prolly have a restroom I could change into. But still- grab a bag- leave my room, go thru the PPH, cross the street, go thru the Grand lobby, find the restroom by the pool, change my clothes- sit in the spa for oh say 15 min- go back to the restroom to change, go back thru the lobby of the grand, cross the street, go thru the lobby of PPH, wait 15 min for an elevator-

get to my room- drop off my wet clothes- re-fix my hair and make-up- leave the room, wait 15 min for an elevator, go thru the PPH lobby, cross the street, go thru the Grand lobby, and then off into the parks! Whew!!! That exhausted me just thinking about it!

Maybe someday- but not this year- and of course there is always the Grand. Did it once- and it will always be my number #1 choice if I have the money to do it! But not this year-

!!!!
So this leaves me with choices on Harbor. Some people are scarred of Harbor Blvd- I don't know why. I have never seen any hookers or drug lords.

That isn't nothing on what you find in Stockton, Ca! LOL! I find Harbor Blvd to be delightful! I love all the lights lit up at night in the trees- I love walking back to my hotel with mobs of other people walking to their hotel room. I love walking past all the people waiting for ART-knowing they might be sitting for awhile. I will be in the spa- before they even get a seat on the ART!!! I love waiting for the the light to turn green at the crosswalk- and talking to other families about what a magical day they had! I even like giving the bums a dollar or two- to teach my kids kindness to others, who are unfortunate. (even though they will prolly use it at the liquor store). And while walking down to our choosen hotel- I like to play the game on which hotel other people have picked- and give a little chuckle or two when I see them going towards the crappy motels- like the Castle Inn.

2. So which place am I going to pick for this very special, cheap, but close, modern, with a spa, hopefully clean, no bed bugs, prefer a king size bed, would love a balcony..... can you guess which one? If you picked the Carousel- your wrong!

It's the Tropicana Inn!
I have been wanting to try that place out for awhile now. I know its nothing fancy. No 5 star. And its a motel not a hotel. But thats ok! As long as I get that balcony view room- I will be happy! I hope I will be happy! I had made a reservation there last oct-when I thought I was going on a trip-

I had requested a balcony room- and of course was told there will be no guarantee- too call back at the beg of the month and talk to the lady who makes the room assignments. BLAH! What a job that must be! So I will be on the ball to do it this time around. Or actually I will be on the ball on making DH call and ask for the room!

He can be very charming. Yep- My Prince charming. He has such great phone etiquette. He wanted to know why I can't call- well if I call- they first think I am a kid- they want to talk to my parents- ( a have a young voice)- then they think its a prank call and will put me in the crappiest room viewing the garbage cans.

So that's that! Plus they have free parking! I do know about the crap breakfast- it won't bother me. I will pack our own fresh pastries from the bakery- bring some milk, cream cheese etc. Plus I plan on a very special character breakfast with Minnie- just not sure which day. Did I mention I hate bedspreads? Those ugly flower printed ones ?? LOL- It's one of the first things I do- besides cleaning the room- throw that ugly thing under the bed! Never to be seen again! I bought my own- and I plan on bringing it- its the classic Mickey Mouse Duvet from the
disney store. I saw it on-line last year- they wanted $89 for the king size. I went to buy it- and all they had left was the wrong sizes!

And to my surprise I found it in the sale section 3 weeks ago! A king size for $49! I scooped it up- along with the Mickey Pizza slicer and a new Jack Skellington shirt for DH. He already has the same one- but it shrank! I had found me a cute Jack and Sally shirt a few months ago- when I was going on the trip that never happened- and bought DS3 a really cute Jack smilley tee. So DH had asked for a new shirt too- so we can all match! I will talk about our clothes another day- so stay tuned in if you like that stuff!
And 3. Did I mention the Tropicana Inn is across the street? LOL. Ok I will come back later tonight after I make official reservations. They better not be booked sold! They just better not be!
