Thinking about where to eat is making me ohhh so hungry right now!
I have a lap-band- which makes eating slightly difficult- which is the whole idea to loose weight. But I don't want to loose weight while on vacation! Actually I have not went back to TJ for a fill since 2009. Now I need a passport to go back- which I don't have! So for now I am not to restricted. I just have a hard time getting the food down when I am rushed or nervous. It seems to tighten up- so I am trying to convince my brain to not be nervous on our trip!
DS3 makes me nervous when we go out to eat. So much attention and time goes into training him how to behave at a rest. It can get frustrating. Oh how I desire to eat a hot meal- or even a warm meal- without DS3! Someday, someday!
Places I would like to eat this trip- Rain Forest Cafe- mostly this is for DS3. He is really into animals and fish- hopefully this will distract him so I can eat my Maui-Maui in peace. We took him here in 2009- we were seated by the gorillas and he freaked out! I am hoping - really hoping he outgrew that fear. I will request a table near the aquarium this time!
Let's see, oh yes.... Minnie's Breakfast in the Park. I really want to take DS3 to this as well. I would love to get some more photos of the characters without the lines. Did I mention that DS3 is slightly impatient when the lines is longer then 5 min??? It can be frustrating.
I want to eat at Rancho del Zoccalo or whatever that place is called. DH has never been there yet- he likes to eat at new places. I took my DS16 there in Oct- and it was pretty good! Plus eating outside away from other people is a plus with DS3!!
Another place on my list is Carnation Cafe. I would like to do this for lunch- never been. I would love to meet Oscar! I already know I want the half soup/ half sand combo! Yum!
I am considering Blue Bayou- only if we can get water side seating. That way DS3 can watch the boats so I can eat in peace. Wishful thinking. I would order that mushroom dish. Looks yummy- and I would ask DH to try the ribs or the surf and turf. So that I can have some of his! hehe.
New Orleans Cafe is a must! I have been craving those Mickey Beignets with those sauces!! Oh my!
And the famous Monte Cristo. Of course- as much as I would love to eat this all by myself- I can't. So this is a dish we need to share. Not sure when I want to eat this meal. Nighttime is romantic! But lunch time if timed right- we can watch Tiana sing, if shes out!
I wanted to try Fire and Ice- at the Gardenwalk- but its like a buffet. I don't want to waste money since I can't really pig out- but if they have scallops- well I am in! Excited to scallops cooked many different ways with sauces galore! I love sauce! thats my default! Extra sauce for me please!
One more place- its a iffy..... Ralph Brenans Jazz Sunday Brunch. This place might keep DS3 entertained with loud music and singing!
At least I hope its loud enough to drown him out if he throws a fit. DH and I ate here back in gosh I think it was 2009- can't remember. it was super romantic- we were seated right in front of the Jazz Players! It was great! But never been for brunch. I thought 'brunch" was like a buffet? According to the menu- it's not. Except for the kids? Weird. Still might have to try it out. Those Fried Green Tomatoes look good!
For fillers and snacks- famous corn dog! Popcorn! Lots of popcorn- it is the best at Disneyland! dole whip, maybe some bengal bbq sticks- or atleast a veggie one. I will def. bring home an apple or two! It's so hard to choose which one! They all look so yummy! I will also bring home choc covered marshmellows - prolly 4! I loved that tigger tail- but I am not interested in the new revised version. The pretzel stick with all the M&M's looks good- wonder how many teeth I would crack trying to eat it!
I plan on bringing in my little drink bag- its great for keeping water, sodas cold. Another plus for having a stroller!!! I hate carrying stuff !
I of course have not yet made my resies for these places yet. I still need to figure out which days and timesI want to eat . The little Mermaid ride is throwing me off- I have no idea what time I should stand in line for this. Nor do I know how long I will be in line for it. It's ruining my Friday! Maybe do Minnie's for breakfast as soon as it opens- then go to DCA and find the LM line? I don't know. Any ideas would be appreciated. I am also considering maybe a Ariel's Breakfast or a Storyteller's Breakfast this morning- in hopes of getting into a quicker line for LM? I have no idea how it will work out! Ok this is all for now! Have a good day!
