My pre-teen niece and nephew came to visit me for a couple of days in NYC. For entertainment, they wanted movies (of course), but I said - I'll do you one better - knowing that they've never been to a Broadway show. So, we went to Tarzan and Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. The kids loved it, and yours truely didn't suffer much either... Mainly because of a $35 discount to Tarzan and a $40 on Beauty and the Beast, both of which I got through the Broadwaybox site. Counting 6 tickets, I saved $215 . Sweet!

oh you are so lucky.....I would love to see Beauty and The Best......my friends took a bus and got to NYC and saw it a few weeks ago...thanks for telling us about it..

That is some great deal!! I lvoed going to Broadway Shows when I lived in NY.

I live in the NYC area and have taken my daughter to see Beauty and the Beast last March when they were offering buy an adult tkt and get a child tkt 1/2 off. We LOVED IT! I would like to take the kids to see the Lion King, Tarzan and Mary Poppins. The trouble is for a family of five it is quite expensive. Can you tell me what the broadway box site is? It sounds like you can get tkts at a discount? Please help - I really want to share the wonderful broadway experience with my kids. THANKS!

I saw Beauty on Broadway. It was very good, just don't get your expectations up high because the ensemble is VERY SMALL and it makes Be Our Guest and other production numbers look a little silly. IMHO.

I thought Beauty on Broadway was utterly amazing -- we saw Donny Osmond as Gaston -- yes, he was excellent.....even looked like he buffed up for it...and Beauty's voice was out of this world. I cried at the end, that's how wonderful it was!

Thanks for the site info. I'm going to check it out. In the meantime we used a discount for "Tarzan" and saw it a couple of weeks ago. We enjoyed it but I personally liked "Beauty and the Beast" better. We bought pre-sale tkts for "The Little Mermaid" for Nov. Can't Wait!

I have plans to see Tarzan at the end of September...and then shopping at World of Disney....and I hopefully have time to see Mary Poppins!!!

I can't wait to see The Little Mermaid when it opens!!

That's neat. I saw The Lion King on Broadway once when it was in Tampa, Florida, as part of a Disney World vacation and thought it was great. I'm heavily biased toward anything Lion King anyway. I haven't seen any other Disney Broadway shows, though. I'd love to actually physically be on Broadway and see a play someday.

I've seen The Lion King (traveling company) and it was AMAZING!

I've also seen Beauty and the Beast 3 times (once traveling company, two individual versions...you know, the people at the theater put on their own verison of it?) All three were amazing, especially the first time.

Going to NYC early next month, but to see WICKED!! Not Disney, but my FAVORITE musical of all time (nearly tying with RENT, of course)!

I just recently saw The Little Mermaid...I thought it was very good...Definately worth the money...The whole cast are such sweethearts, I met the cast afterwards and everyone stayed and talked with whoever was there and had a great time! Its a must see for Ariel Lovers!!!
