I will try and make this easy to read. Day 1, Dec. 3 Dad and I leave MA at 4:00 AM on our 1300 mile journey to Disney with a camper in the bed of the truck. First day, we get about 1 1/2 hour away from South Carolina.
Crash for the night, head out again on Dec, 4 at 4:00 AM and get to Fort Wilderness Campground around 1:00 PM. Asked if we could upgrade our patrial hookup to a full and we were told they were sold out, then she thought for a few, looked up a few things and viola, there was one open and clean so she let us checkin early. Got ourselves together and my wife calls saying my daughters cold seemed to be worse so she took her to the doctors.
Dad and I head over to the Hoop Dee Doo Review. Our first time ever, what a blast. We love how they serve the food and the dessert. If you are concered about seating there, the only place that might be bad is right up front. You are assigned seats according to when you reserved your seat, we were on the balcony. They server the food in metal buckets and slam them down on the metal plates on the table to a song. Nice and interactive.
Head back to the camper and check my messages, it seems my 5 year old daughter has pnumonia but can still fly out on Friday.
Dad and I sleep for the night and get up first thing to the Carribean Beach Resort where myself and the rest of the family are staying for 2 nights. At 8:00 AM they had a room ready for us at Jamaica building 44. Perfect spot for standard pricing, about a 5 min walk to the food, 3 min walk to the bus, and 1.5 min walk to the "quiet pool". Dad and I unloaded all of the luggage and went to Typhoon Lagoon for the day. Temps were around 72 and overcast which made the park hardly crowded. Had a wonderful time then headed out to Fantasia Mini-Golf. Had a great time, great tough course. Headed to the airport early to make sure we can find it, about 6PM on our way to get the family I get a call that they are delayed for an unspecified time frame. The Snowstorm in the North East was just starting and they are stuck on the tarmak as they plow the runway. Finally after a de-icing they were on their way with a 2 hour wait, so dad and I went to chillis and had dinner. Went the wrong way back to the hotel which means we did not get there until around 12:00.
The tough part was, my daughter had a temp and got sick on herself on the plane, so I spent until about 1:30 AM doing laundry (least I could do after leaving my wife alone with the 2 kids for 2 days).
Well, I have to go pick up my wife at work. I will add part 2 soon (don't worry, it gets better
