My Dining review from 3/04/17~3/08/07

Ok it has taken me awhile to get to this point of having time to make a review. And now my memory is fading abit as well, so please forgive me if I can't remember all we ate, etc. Plus I forgot to take pictures alot as well.

It was my DH~45, and me~ 38, and DD~2
We were on the dining plan, but DD, being two was free, so she shared mostly.


3/04
We arrived to Disney around 6:30 PM. We checked in and got settled in our room. we then headed over to the MK. We had no ADR's since we weren't sure exactly how long it would take us to get there from Sandford Airport, so we planned on counter service. We arrived at the park a little after 8 and the parade was going throuhg so we had to push our way through. It was SOOOO crowded. We headed over to Cosmic Rays. I got the big combo meal with ribs, chicken, mashed potatoes and carrots, a lemonade which was pretty watered down tasting and the triple chocalte cake.
My chicken and ribs were a bit bland unless you put BBQ sauce on them, but not bad. Just needed more taste for me. The triple chocalte cake was awesome! i could eat that all day. I ate half there and took the rest back for a late night snack!
DH got the chicken strips meal with fries and carrot cake, I beleive.coke to drink. DD mostly shared off of him, even though I though she would love some of my chicken and ribs. She ended up not eating alot on the whole trip.
He said they were good. DD was more interested in dancing to Sonny Eclipse.

I did take pictures mid meal here. My ribs are gone already.

Thanks. I know it's jsut a little review so far. LOL! I plan on posting more tonight. We've been busy most of the morning and I need to lay DD down for a nap, and try to catch one myself.

3/05/07

We planned for EPCOT today. DH went to the Pop food court for coffee, but I had brought breakfast type snack cakes and bars for breakfast to eat.
We got there and did a few character meet and greets and then headed to Mexico for lucnh at the Cantina de San Angel. I got the Plato Combinacion, which was a combo of tacos and quesidillas and beans and a few others I think. It was good. DH got the Nachos, i beleive. He said they were good as well. I got a churro for dessert, and he got some other thing that was pretty simular to a churro. We only ate a bit of those becausewe got full. DD mostly snacke on the nachos that had nothing on them. LOL! She did pick off my plate a bit too. Forgot pictures here.

For supper we had ADR's for Alfredos. I know alot don't like it, but it was my DH's favorite of the trip ,and I really enjoyed it as well.
I had fetticinni alfredo as my appetizer, which DD loves, so she ate most of it. My picture was top "white" so it's hard to see. DH had a salad.
I got the trio, which I loved. DH got the special which was some kind of boar sausage. He said it was really good, but super spicy. DD thought he had a hot dog and wanted some, so he gave her a bit and she loved it too. He was sweating form the spiciness and she was fine and asked for more! LOL!

We ordered dessert, I got the chocolate Mousse, which I shared with DD. We both were fighting over it! It was really good. I think DH had carrot cake, because he got it about everywhere, but I can't remember for sure.
Our waiterethen borught us our bill, before the dessert arrived, so after a bit, I told him that he forgot ,and he quickly brought it. He also never charged us for the extra milk or DH's beer, we later realized. Unless it shows up on our credit card. (We never got a bill when we checked out, as our flight was early)
So for us this was a great resturant! I thought my food had great taste too. I just might have been there on a good night. They also did a napkin dnace like they do at Chef Mickeys and DD had a ball doing that.

3/06

This morning we had ADR's for Chef Mickeys. DD was not getting enough sleep or taking any naps, so we let her sleep as long as possible. We then drove our rented van over. I found it to be fun in atmosphere, but the food only so-so. The Mickey waflles and pancakes were great. The sausage gravy awful. And some other stuff was OK. It wasn't consistant. Some things were really good, while others had no taste. But the characters were fun. DD was very tired too and didn't eat hardly anything but a bite of banana. I didn't really take pictures of the food, but here is one of DD and her food is in front of her. I ended up eating her waffle!

We then drove back to the Pop an were going to head over to MK, but DD fell back to sleep in the van. So DH took her back to the room and they both napped for a few hours and I went over to MK by myself and shopped.
They met me there later on. It was busy that day, so it consisted of mostly parades and things without much line.

We had 5PM ADR's for Crystal palace.
I really liked this place alot too! I thought most of the food was really good. I like the peel and eat shrimp! MMM! There was alot a variety as well. I tried several deserts!
DD again ate next to nothing, but grapes and prime rib were a big hit for her, and we did get a bit of that down her. Again she was more curious as to where the characters were and how sonn they would be with us. Here is a picture with Mac and Cheese on ehr palte, which DH ended up eating!

We used snack credits for frozen lemonades in the afternoon.

PS>>>Don't mind DD's messy hair in the back! LOL! She was so tired, I would do a quick brush, but didn't put pigtails in for fear it would make her grumpy. And then after her nap, DH borught her over with out a thought of rebrushing again. We pretty much let her have messy hair the whole trip to keep her pleasant!

3/07

We did the day at Animal Kingdom.
I used a snack credit and got tuna for my breakfast. I need some protein and it would keep me full awhile. Alos bought some juice and some milk for DD.

We headed over to AK and did a few things. We started getting hungry, but it was lunch time and everything was busy, so we used snack credits and got some popcorn.

We then finally had lunch at Tuskers. I got the chicken dinner with green beans and mashed potatoes. I think DH got chiken strips.
I bought out of pocket grapes for DD. She gobbled them down!
My food was just OK for me. The green beans were good ,but the mashed potatoes had a bit of a weird taste to them. The chicken needed something. It was a bit bland, but not bad. I just needed a bit more taste to it. DH said his food was great. i had cheese cake, (I think) and DH had carrot cake. DD mostly ate my dessert, so I don't remember much about it. I didn't take pictures again.

We had ADR's for Cap'n Jacks in DTD at 8:25. We were seated promptly. (we really never waited more than 5 minutes at any resturant!) The menu was totally different than the ones I was referred to on these boards. They didn't have steak or ribs, or chicken like the menus say. They had potroast though. DH was panicing, because nothing was sounding that good. He got New england Clam Chowder for appetizer, and I got Artichoke dip. Both were good! We ordered a hot dog meal out of pocket for DD. It came with fruit as her appetizer, but she was in a no eating mood again!

DH ended up getting the Pasta Penne. He said it was just OK.
I got the Lobster. i thought it was good. I am not a seafood expert, so I don't know if it would be considered excellent or not, but my taste buds liked it! DD did love her hot dog and at it all (with out the bun)

DH had some kind of Double Chocolate Lava Cake with Ice Cream . It looked really good. DD had icecream, but didn't eat much, which surprised us, as she usually loves it.
I had White Chocolate Raspberry New York Cheesecake . I thought it was good. I was so stuffed when we left! I like the palce too. Some people have said it seems dirty, but it wasn't to me. We also could see EPCOT's fireworks going on while we had dessert.

Our last morning we used our last CS credits for breakfast at teh Everything Pop food court. I got a breakfast sausage sandwich on crescent and it was really good. Dh said he has waffles ,but I don't know what else, because he walked up by himself and ate it there. DD wouldn't eat anything. We left for the airport and she threw up twice on our way there in the rental van. She later had diarhea when we got home. She slept the whole plane ride. I'm not sure if it was al lthe excitement catching up, or if she had a bug. She seemd fine the next day though.
