Whaaaaaa...it JUST broke!! I am so upset too, I use it almost every day! DH tried to fix it (worked on it for over an hour) but the lens that zooms in and out is broken. I actually started to cry at one point when I realized it was garbage now.

The only good thing is that my SIL has the same exact camera as me, so I will have to borrow hers until I get my new one, which won't be until the middle of October!! (I have to wait to use my Christmas Club money).

I am going to be so lost without having one in the house.

Awwww, Beans, I feel your pain!

Mine just STOPPED working, too... UGH... and I literally LIVE off of it because of eBay... it's cutting into my income!!!

I ordered a Sony last week, still waiting for it like a crazed woman, hope it comes soon!

How old is it? What kind? Maybe it's still under warranty?

I had a 35mm Pentax that the warranty had expired on, but I was able to get Pentax to repair it for free when I explained it had only been on 1 trip...and had only taken a few rolls of film. (I used my digital more than that camera.)

On the other hand, if it's older..... you can get more advanced cameras today for probably less $ than you paid originally.

The research is just a pain though.

Mercy, they are not "real"! LOL Mary Jo (the Moderator) thought it would be funny to give me this huge post count one day after I complained about having so many (only had about 15,000 at that time). So, I don't complain anymore

I think I "really" have about 20,000, which is bad enough! LOL

What kind did you get Dan? I really loved the one I had, so I think I am going to buy the exact same thing. Not to mention that I don't really want to have to learn all the features of a new one! LOL (is that lazy?)

D'oh... too bad your camera broke, Beans.

But... if you were taking pictures every day, how come we only saw you share some now and then!? How about some more pics more often from now on.

Hopefully you'll get a replacement camera soon. What model camera did you have? I'm looking (in the verrry loose sense of the word) to get a new one to replace my old Kodak digital which I don't think takes very clear pictures any longer. Disappointing to take pictures at an event (such as best friend's wedding) and have them not turn out well.

The lens on mine broke a few weeks ago too......it stopped moving & the screen said zoom error..........my camera was 2-1/2 years old but fortunately it was one of the only things we ever bought Best Buy's extended warranty on..........we took it in & they sent it out to be fixed w/o any charge......we're just waiting on it to come back. DH was a little bummed...he wanted a new one...........I just wanted to keep the one I already knew how to work
