My DH won a trip to Disneyland!!!! Updated with Pictures

I am so excited. He entered the Kodak Easyshare Gallery Pirates of the Caribbean Photo Treasure Hunt and won the grand prize and now has a chance to win $50,000. Wish us luck!!! We leave 9/27 and fly back 9/30 and the drawing for the $50K is 9/28 from 9pm until 1am. The trip is for 4 so we are taking my parents with us. Will the 50th celebration still be going on? I thought I remembered reading that it ends 9/30. I am calling today to make reservations at Blue Bayou. I can't wait to see the new Pirates ride and Space Mountain. I know I can get 10% off $50 purchase with my Disney Visa and 10% off at select restaurants. Anything else I should know? Last time I was there was in June 2005 on our honeymoon. I usually plan my disney trips several months in advance so I am on fast forward for this one. I heard about the Disney Soda Fountain Store is that worth going to and eating the huge Sorcerer's hat sundae? and how far away is it from Disneyland? I was jumping up and down all last night I am so excited Anybody else on the Disboards win? There were 9 winners with Kodak and I think 4 winners from Coke plus Von's Grocery Store and Regal Cinemas also held the sweepstakes.

first and foremost...congratulations!!!! you will be there at the tail end of the 50th...perfect timing...as far as the soda fountain and studio store, that is on Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood and about a good hour or so to get there...I'd save that for another visit seeing as you dont have alot of time..but have fun and write a TR when you get back

Where did they put you up? Hopefully on property. Do they fly you down there? This will be a great trip for you, how nice of you to take your parents with you. Have fun!

Congratulation!! How exciting for you and your DH! Have a great trip! So do they pay for your airfare and put you up at a Disney Hotel? Which one? Any spending money? I am so happy for you!

About the Visa, if you have used it be sure to call and get your rewards to spend while you are there. Also they have a free photo "meet and greet" at CA every morning from 10-11:30. You go to Ariels Grotto and show your card and they take you downstairs and take your picture with some characters. They rotate but we had Mickey and Goofy when we went. There was never a line and the kids spent a lot of time playing with them. Then they give you a coupon to pick up your free pic later. You can do that each day and can use the coupon for other pics in CA as well, not sure about ride photos though, think it is just character picks. You can also get free stroller rentals but it doesn't seem like you need that-lol!

The trip is for 3 nights 4 days. They pay for the airfare, 2 hotel rooms and 4 park tickets. We have to pay for transportation from the airport to disneyland, food and souveniers. We just got the paperwork yesterday and after we send it back they will tell us where we are staying I am hoping for the Grand Californian but will see. My DH entered 2 pictures on the kodak website and it was a random drawing. Each picture was worth 5 entries and you were allowed to submit 3 pictures so we actually could have had 5 more entries. They had categories that your picture had to fall under. The first one was somthing gold so he entered my Mickey Mouse wedding ring on a tip of a sword and the other category was somthing from the sea so he entered a picture of the ocean from when we got engaged on the Disney Cruise. The other category was a personal treasure which he didn't enter. Here's the pictures

Just cause I'm nosy, how much notice did they give you that you won this trip and if you couldn't go that weekend did they give you the option of another weekend? I'm curious because we will be there that weekend and supposedly there will be 1500 winners of that package kicking around

We just found out yesterday 9/7. There are supposbly 1,700 winners with the most people being California residents as the majority of winners were from Von's Grocery Stores in CA. My DH was 1 of 9 to win the Kodak Sweepstakes. According to the rules we have to start travel on 9/27 and end travel on 9/30. The drawing for the $50K is going to be held on 9/28 from 9pm - 1am after the park closes. I think we have the option of going another time but of course we wouldn't have the chance to win the $50K.

We finally got the call back today with all the details. We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel. Whoohoo!! They also changed the dates on us so instead of 9/27-9/30 we now go 9/26-9/29. She said it was a long story as to the change in dates so I didn't ask any further, luckily we were all able to change our work schedules without any problem. She also let me pick which flights we wanted so that we could spend as much time at Disneyland as possible. So we leave a week from today!!!
