My DH thinks I'm crazy!!

They are not all the same! I've had a huge smile on my face the whole time reading this thread! I certainly can think of a few things that DH would be the same but NOT Disney, NOT vacations, NOT traveling! He woke me up 4:57am on our 90 day mark to get ADR (at the end he did the reservations because I HAD to go to the bathroom! :rotfl: ), he has been doing research for about 6 months already. He filled up our Passporter information. We have been working on this together and I'm sure when DDs are old enough, they will have their saying also.

To the OP.... although I'm sure it is frustrating he doesn't show much enthusiasm... enjoy the planning, share with us here at DIS and let us know what he thought of all your planning once you got there! I'm sure he'll be happy you did your homework and who knows, maybe he'll get hooked for future trips! :Pinkbounc

My DH doesn't get Disney either. One year I took my 3 girls and went to Disney w/o him! His attitude has been better since then :rotfl2: He did tell me he was worried about me and all the planning I was doing. I offer to go w/o him - no hard feelings - and he shuts up! He really needs this vacation- been working too much. I know he'll enjoy it when he gets there and I will be sure to make it as stressless as possible. To me that's the inportant thing about planning- be willing to be flexable when things don't go as planned. Have fun planning and have a great vacation! :goodvibes

Some people are planners, some are not. Luckily my DH doesn't mind if I plan.
But plan in some "off" days from the park when you CAN sleep in and just go to the pool. Otherwise it is too tiring.

since finding this site about three weeks ago, i've become addicted on reading all the tips :disrocks: . dh doesn't understand :guilty:
but now i've explained just how much we've missed in the past ( all the small details). this year we are going to take our time and really take it all in. it will be our first holiday since having ds who has just turned 4. we're staying offsite for our three week hol. i've had our itinary planned for a few weeks (ever since the oct hours went up on Disney website). my dh thinks i'm mad, but you dont want to burn yourself out at the start of your hols by doing too much! we are going to disney for the first half of our hols and universal the second half. i've made sure that we have a rest day every fourth day, which always falls after a late night, eg wishes.
4 weeks to go. CAN'T WAIT!!!! :cheer2:

One more thing I thought was funny. My husband kept forgetting to tell his boss that he would be taking his vacation the last week of September. I wrote his boss a little note and told my husband to give it to him. TOTALLY CLUELESS!!!!!!!!!!!

I get my planning gene from my Dad, he is the one who introduced me to UG!! My hubby, just the opposite! Hates planning, used to hate that I planned (very discouraging) until we got there!!! Now WE are planning our third trip and he even says hey why don't we try this, this time. This would NEVER have happened before!!! I am sure he will come around or at least begrudgingly admit you are right, now what woman doesn't get tired of that????
