"We were on the Magic last month and were really looking forward to the lobster, which was good. My husband asked for seconds and the server really frowned and looked at him. He said, "Another one? Well, I'd have to check." Clearly, he was not thrilled. DH felt very uncomfortable and told him to never mind, that he was fine. Server said, OK and went on his way. I was surprised, as I'd read on the boards people who were encouraged to have seconds but that was not the case with us. Also, I had the seafood pasta and while it was very good (as all the food was, I thought), I did not get a lobster tail. Maybe that's just if they have extra or something."
Having just got back today from the Magic, I check in and see this and I say "Huh? I am so sorry you had a server respond to you like that and sorry that you didn't have enough security in your knowledge to say--why don't we just check with the head server" and show the server up to his or her boss. We ordered 2 each from the outset, including my 9 year old, and they were brought out two each on our entree plates, and our wonderful assistant server removed all 6 from the shells, and the chef came out after the meal to see how we liked everything. Have had extra entrees, and extra lobster before, but the chef, that was a first for us. We had an awesome dining room experience that blew us away on our 4th
DCL cruise, and you did not get treated right is my view.
Did notice the lobster tail on the final night pasta dish...and thought about asking for one on my plate along w/ my filet...not sure why I didn't, come to think of it.
I hope that lobster tail snub incident was hopefully an aberration from an otherwise great experience...but somehow, I fear it wasn't...
