My DH did something weird Saturday..

What do you make of it?

He went to Home Depot to get a dehumidifier. They didn't have one, he came home and handed me 4 green Disney mouseear paint chips. Huh?? The funny thing is that I was going to ask him to get me some while he was there, but I was SURE that I would get this.. look, so I didn't.

Perplexed, I asked him why? he mumbled something about him knowing that I was in that "cult" and they used these green paint chips. That was it.

And lately he has been listening while I explain the different rate codes and discounts and how confusing the DVC is, and on, and on, and on.

This is the man I started a thread about entitled, "Are you married to a Grumpy spouse?" which asked if anyone else had a spouse that could care less about Disney..

Do you think he's coming around? Or was it just a lapse in Grumpiness??

I think that your husband loves you & wants to be interested in the things that you are.
He may not become Disney friendly for himself, but b/c you are, he will find it likeable.
Case in pont: I love english mystery & period movies, Agatha Christie, Mansfield Park.....& Woody (don't say it) Allen movies;
My husband watches w/me hating every moment, but saying nothing.
Your husband just wants to make you happy...
Who knows, he may actually find he likes it. My husband did.

How is it we "use" these green paint chips? I know thee DIS color is lime green, but why would you want green paint chips? Go ahead, brainwash me.

You are not alone- my DH says " Oh you and those boards!" He is bigger on Disney than I am! He wants to go just as soon as we can!

I don't really know how everyone uses the paint chips, microcell. But unfortunately for Home Depot, the paint chip "Sonic Boom" is the exact color of the Dis. And to top it all off, it comes in the shape of mouseears. So I guess people use them to make keychains, or buttons, or scrapbooking. I used them for a keychain I made to attach to my Disney backpack for the park. Then maybe a fellow Diser will see me...(Reminds me of that movie with Al Pachino-"Cruising" does anyone remember that-ewww....) and say "Hi". What is really funny is when Home Depot's display of Disney paint chips is conspicuosly empty where "Sonic Boom" is supposed to be.

The Home Depot near me is always fully stocked, so there must not be any other Disers around here..

Over on the cruise board we use the paint chips to decorate our stateroom doors, etc. so that we can find fellow dis'ers on our cruises! I had one pinned to my purse and ended up meeting a lot of people that way!

"The Cult"- too funny!

I've used the Mickey head paint chip cards to make luggage tags for my kids suitcases and name tags for other activities. They are very popular on the scrapping and family boards.

Kimnicki and I were on the same cruise and she was kind enough to send me some chips. I used them to make magnets for our door. Unfortunately, I didn't meet up with many DISer's (only Madden6), but I sure enjoyed having the chips. Last time I went to Home Depot, I stocked up but my kids have appropriated them (they think they are sitckers).
