I'm ok but this is so me I just have to share. :rotfl2:

Today, I was working on the computer in Photoshop for about half an hour. I always sit with one leg crossed, so I end up sitting on my foot. Well, I got up and my foot was asleep but I didn't realize just HOW numb it was. I tried to stand on it and couldn't hold any weight up and fell on top of the treadmill which sits (unused) right behind my computer chair. Anyway, I sprained my ankle. It is swollen and very sore. Guess I have a good excuse now for not using that treadmill for a few more days...:rotfl:

You wouldn't think disigning could be so dangerous.:confused3 Watch out all you disigners. :lmao:

Hope you have a speedy recovery and glad the injury wasn't worse. I had a friend in college who broke her leg in 3 places because she fell trying to walk on a numb (asleep) leg.

Oh no, now that is not at all funny. I know from being an ortho nurse several years back that people injure themselves, very seriously sometimes, in the most mundane tasks. No, I'll be fine. Thanks for the well wishes.

Here's hoping you heal quickly! And I'll watch out for sleepy feet and treadmills!

Kari, Just wanted to say that I hope you are feeling better soon. I am so sorry to hear about your injury. :scared1: Those treadmills are so dangerous.I might have to throw mine out.:goodvibes

This gave me such a chuckle - good thing you have a sense of humor about it.

Take care of yourself and stay off your feet. While you are off your feet, I guess you'll have to work on some more amazing designs.

I am loving the "Just for grins" thread!

Thanks for the good wishes. Off to put watch the Curious George movie with the kids (with my foot up...)

Well I think you can still design with a sore foot. Now if you fell on your hand, that would be bad. LOL
Sending lots of pixie dust your way and hoping you feel better soon.:wizard:

I have to agree with Amy...you made me chuckle, also.:rotfl:This totally sounds like something I would do! I didn't realize how dangerous DISigning was....I may have to check into health insurance. :happytv: Get well soon! pixiedust: Angela

Definitely sounds like something I would do! Heck, I have tripped over the very little used treadmill many times!

I hope it is feeling better this morning! :goodvibes

ooo- that must hurt! Hope it feels better soon!

Thanks everyone. I'm sore but at least I'm getting lots of sympathy!

RumblyTumbly,
So sorry to hear about your accident, just really glad you didn't get hurt bad. You have to beware of those computers and desk chairs sometimes they are deadly. I was sitting at my computer one night, a while back, of course, I was leaning back all relaxed when the unthinkable happened. That chair tipped over backwards, I hit my head on the baseboard with a hard thud. I ended up with a sprained neck and slight concussion. Believe me the chair went in the trash and I bought another one, my dh said the chair had nothing to do with it but he couldn't convince me that there wasn't some kind of demon in that chair. It is soooo funny now but then it was painful, and having to go back to work and to tell people what happened to you, well they got a good laugh.
Glad you are ok, thought you could use a good laugh.

Kari
I just wanted to send you some pixiedust: pixiedust: and please take care and be careful:laughing:

I also second the advise of epson salt and warm water (really good for the swelling)

Feel better:hug:

Linnette

Kari,
You must really take care of yourself. Maybe it's a sign to get rid of your tread mill or at least put it somewhere else (where you won't use it):rotfl:

Keep the foot elevated and have your family cater to you for once!
Pippi

Sorry to hear about your injury...I balance my laptop computer on my laptop every night and even though I see the power cords lurking beneath me, there's not a single day that I don't trip over them!

Get well soon!

:rotfl: This made me laugh (since you are ok now). I have done the same thing with the office chair. Leaning back relaxing and it just tipped over on me. Fortunately, I escaped without a concussion.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I'm better. It's stopped throbbing. :rotfl:

Kari you are a gem:) A few years ago, I joined curves and I broke my leg on a piece of equipment..I was too short for it and no one told me I needed to do something different..well, needless to say, that was the joke for a long time....in fact, I wore a cast, a boot for months and then a soft cast....go figure...to top the whole thing off, the dr. said I could go back to Curves....well, not for long, I now have a pinched nerve in my foot that is from the broken leg...oh, well...I no longer go to curves as I can't use much of the equipement:) Take care of yourself lady...you must have a design flopping around in your head for us...
