Hi,

We travelled Jan.13-21. It was my DD's 7th Birthday and I think we were more than lucky....here are a few of our Magical Moments.

* Epcot - She was chosen to start the fireworks for Mickey! All the staff at the Rose & Crown signed her certificate. This blew her mind.....it was really a magical evening. The staff Emma & Melisa were outstanding.:goodvibes
* Epcot - Free stroller rental. :)
* Magic Kingdom - A Magical Moments certificate signed by all the princesses and a cupcake/candel at Cindy's Breakfast.:flower3:
* Animal Kingdom - Choosen as family of the Safari. Got to skip the line and be the first ones to visit the safari that day. A private jeep and tour guide and a pass to skip the line all day long!!!!:cloud9:

I think that's it, but each one made us soooooooo happy. Nothing big or expensive but each heart lifting and wonderful!:wizard:

I just have to share, too. (Sorry in advance for the long post!)

We were at the World for our son's 5th BD last week. I can't believe how the CMs went out of their way to wish him happy birthday all the time! The only dinner I had his birthday indicated on the reservation was at the Crystal Palace, and honestly, it was the worst experience - the cupcake they brought out was frozen and the service was horrible. BUT, that was definately overshadowed by all the other wonderful experiences!

DHS - the Mayor of Hollywood stopped his car and made a big production, including giving him a medal. Was a member of the pit crew for LIghtning McQueen and Mater - his two ABSOLUTE favorite characters. He was able to wave the flag to bring them out and received a Magical Moment Certificate.

MK - A server gave him a free souviner cup at Pizza Planet - boy was he in heaven. Received a Magical Moment Certificate signed by all the princes for pulling the sword out of the stone by the carousel and was made "Honorary Prince for the Day". Honestly - I didn't believe that would happen. I had JUST told him it was set in concrete and he wouldn't be able to pull it out, but he told me he was strong. He pulls, and out it comes!!!) :yay: Then the CM appeared and I was able to figure out what happened! His eyes were huge and he just had to tell me..."See, I told you I was strong Mommy." :rotfl2:

AK - He received a Magical Moment Certificate for a Yeti hide and seek while waiting with his dad inside the gift shop for me to finish riding EE.

In our room on his BD he received a autographed photo of Goofy (they couldn't get Mater for him) as well as a balloon. Almost all of the restaurants brought him a little cupcake, even though we never asked for them. One of the bus drivers had everyone on the bus sing happy birthday.

But, really, the best of all was receiving all the Happy Birthdays from the CMs. It didn't matter their job, they all went out of their way to make this the best birthday for our little guy. It was his first trip to Disney, and he already wants to go back (that's my boy!). And, really, what better place to be for your birthday than Disney!

I'll be writing a letter to Disney, letting them know what joy their CMs brought to this little boy. I think it'll be a long while before he stops talking about this. It just reaffirms what a magical place Disney is.

How awesome for all of you...those are the things that keep bringing us back over and over again!!

Trish

how lovely for both of you:goodvibes

My son will be celebrating his 6th birthday there - did you have them wear the pins every day of the trip or just the actual birthday day?

We will be celebrating my dd's third birthday there and are planning on just letting her wear it the whole week. princess: She'll probably be a LOT spoiled by the time we get home, but why not! Does anyone know of anything special you can do for birthdays?

There's definately Birthday pins that you can get, from Guest Services. Like mentioned above, there are special 'cakes' that can be requested in different restaurants (or I think if you see the CM's they may bring this out for free).

Somewhere else I've read tonight - if you're staying on property and call the front desk, they may deliver a balloon and card to your room so it's waiting for your DD on your return :)

There's probably more too...

I brought a B-day pin from home and she wore it the "actual" day but you can get pins from Guest Services in the parks! You just fill in the name.

At Cindy's Breakfast they brought out a little cupcake thing for free but when I booked they said that you can order a cake at the podium for $12.

At Chef Mickey's I saw the cake and it was small but MUCH bigger than a cupcake... :) We were a party of 3 so we would not have been able to eat the whole cake.

That's great! We are going Aug 3-9 and will be celebrating our sons 2nd birthday on the 7th! He will be 2.:woohoo:

We also were there the same time.. had a great trip.. My little girls birthday was Jan 22nd.. and we bought a shirt at the Gymboree store that said Birthday girl... it was cute and ofcourse.. we have keepsakes from the day in our pics! We loved it.

I love hearing all of these stories about little ones having such a good birthday. My poor children have birthdays in June and July, so they will never get to go to Disney on their B-day. The crowd is not worth it. I went for my birthday last year and I got one happy birthday from a cm. I was kind of disappointed. I want to be treated special on my birthday as well. But hey, there is always next year, right! I am trying it again. Maybe this year, two people will wish me happy birthday!
