Tessa is Star of the Week this week. They usually try and schedule each child around their birthday if it falls in the school year. She turned 6 last Saturday.

So everyday so far she had a family member join her for lunch and this afternoon her 1 year old Maltese Puppy is visiting the class room. Wish me luck!!!! On Friday afternoon I am taking in Ice Cream for snack.

I tried to get someone to go in and have lunch with her every day and I asked at her Birthday Party on Sunday if anyone wanted to have lunch with her this week. My grandma went Monday, I went yesterday, my Mom is going Friday and of course my DD wanted her grandma (my MIL)but she didn't volunteer or seem interested, even though she doesn't work and lives 3 minutes from the school. But I am kind of used to that. I won't go in to the rest of my in law rants. I will move that to the other post.

November must be a popular month for Birthdays. She has 2 other parties for classmates this month. And my Mom got her tickets for Disney On Ice for the 16th (to be a surprise). There goes my Saturday Christmas Shopping.

Sounds like a great week for a six year old. Sorry you MIL would'nt go. Thats her loss. Good luck with the puppy.

That is neat, Melinda!!! I remember those days with the kids. Congratulations to Tessa, and a belated happy birthday for her also.

Happy Birthday to your daughter. I sure hope she is enjoying her star week. How did the visit with the puppy go?
