My dd has stinky feet!

I think the socks make a difference too. Make sure she is wearing cotton, but breathable socks, not the thin cutesie socks.

Good luck!

What sunlover said. This is especially true if your dd is wearing any kind of tights, since they are thinner and much less breathable than socks in general and can make foot odor much worse.

But I'd say to wash her shoes better and give that girl a bar of soap.

If you can get her to change her shoes every day (24 hours between wearings) that helps a LOT. Have her wash her feet thoroughly before bed. She should change socks if her feet get particularly sweaty (shoes too, if she can).

DH and some of his family can't wear dark socks without getting stinky feet. White socks and they are fine.

I work for a deodorising company.
If your daughter has stinky feet,
You can sell her stinky shoes to us for $10 to $25.

The thread is 2 years old. The 8 year old has undoubtedly outgrown those shoes and probably would have given them to you if you asked sooner.

Welcome to the DIS. :welcome:

My girlfriend uses the deodorant crystal things you can buy. Just wet it and rub it on your feet, let it dry and she swears by it.

At least this makes sense why it was bumped up.

Silver Edge Gear!!! My DD is a soccer player- the smell of her cleats would knock you out. We found a wonderful company based in NC where we live that sells odor-destroying items. We bought DD a zip top bag for her cleats- no more stinky shoes or stinky soccer bag. They also make shoe stuffers, shin guard pads, and other great products.

My dermatologist recommends scrubbing the feet daily with an antibacterial soap and applying regular old deodorant to them. He also recommended pulling the inserts out of every stinky shoe and replacing them with a new insert, and not wearing the same shoes every day.

Lol I am a cheer mom.. My 6 year old.. Swear I wanna put her feet out the window on the way home.. I have resorted to putting her cheer shoes in a quart size zip bag.. Putting in deep freeze.. Right after practice on Sunday til Wednesday lol works like a charm!
Please remember to pull out of freezer hours before! Lol
