My DD has her birthday Golden Ticket, now what?

I got my DDs confirmation letter, printed the Golden Ticket, I know I should know the answer to this but my brain is frazzled!
So here's the dilema...
DL opens at 10am next Tuesday. DD wants to get there early and be one of the first at the gate. We have PSs for Carnation Cafe at 10am. BBB at 11:30 am and Pat E cake at 2pm. So not wanting to wait in line at the ticket booth for DDs funcard. Not wanting to spoil her got to be one of the first at the gate.
And not wanting to spoil the surprise PSs when and where do I get her her funcard?
I don't want to go back out to the ticket booth in the middle of her birthday spectacular day. Isn't there somewhere else to get the funcard? That won't have a huge line before 10am? Like guest services? Or city hall?
I thought I had it all planned and now I am stressing! Help TIA

Why not just go to the Guest Services building outside the park in the morning before the park opens?

Someone here knows for sure, but I think it opens prior to the park opening.

Thanks that is what I am wondering. If it opens early like 9? Or if city hall opens when main street opens up 9:30 ish? I am right in thinking you can redeem the voucher for the funcard at these locations? Correct?

You can get the fun card at City Hall, we've done it 3 times this year.

DH got his funcard at guest services. We went straight to GS before the park opened and there was only 2 other families in front of us. If you don't get a chance to stop there on your way into DL, you could always go to GS at DCA if you hop over there later. I heard there is never a big line there.

I know this is a dumb question, but what is a Golden Ticket? We will be going to DL for my B-day and DD next week. We have purchased a 3 day hopper, but I want to get the free gift cards. Thanks!!!

PhatKat, the OP is probably referring to the email you're sent when you sign up (pre-register) online for the birthday promo. It just saves a few moments when you go to pick up your birthday celebration choice.


OP, if you're traveling with more than just the two of you, have your daughter and some other family member get in line at whichever spot you want to to get the funcard, while the other family member(s) stand at the chosen turnstile gate.

yup, I was referring to the birthday confirmation "golden ticket" voucher.
it's just going to be me DD12 and DGD1 this trip until Thursday when DS23 joins us from San Diego. I was hoping he would make it up earlier to help me out! Lol but no luck I really want to ride SM GG! I'll just have to wait
so I think if we get there at 9 and either hop in line at the maingate or check out GSs line. Otherwise I am hoping there will be atleast 1/2 hour early
mainstreet entry.
