My sister and her family will be at WDW the same week as us this November! :woohoo: We thought it would be fun if all the cousins could do the Pirate and Princess Party, if available.

My nieces are 5, 3, and 2 yrs old and are naturally all excited about dressing as princesses. princess: princess: princess: When I told my 11 yr old DD about it, she floored me by saying she wanted to dress like a pirate, not a princess!pirate: Her DB(9), of course, will also be a pirate:

Since when did it become "too baby-ish" to like the Disney princesses?

I miss those little girl princess days! The :hourglass goes by so quickly!

Don't ask me, I never was a girly-girl ;)

I know when my mother and I were talking about P&PP this weekend, one of the first things she said was "You know, if you were still little you'd want to dress as a pirate!" I told her "I think I still do!" :D

Except by then I will have the perfect princess dress, similar to the little princesses' dresses... maybe I'll just have to get a pirate bandanna and a plastic rapier! :D

She can still dress like a girl! My DD was a pirate this fall for school (one day was dress like a Disney Character during pep wk in HS) She wore a full black skirt, a red and white pirate striped sweater, sash around her waist, Her pirate ears from Disney and her POTC medallion, and black ballet flats, I think she wore gold earrings but I don't remember. She looked really cute and actually cuter than the girls who did dress as princesses. So don't worry about it she can still be cute, just think female pirate!

Heck my ds5 wanted to dress like a princess.:rotfl:

My DGD was the only little girl pirate we saw in January. She had the little girl pirate dress that we saw at the Poly and topped it off with a Mickey Mouse pirate bandanna. There were a lot of little Princesses, but she was the only little girls in that outfit, and she looked so darn cute!

That little girl pirate costume disney sells is the best...love the cross bone tights...some of the cutest pirates I’ve seen....dont worry girls make the best pirates

There were girl pirates right along side Captain Jack Sparrow!!! I NEVER would have wanted to dress as a Princess when I your DD's age. I was all about the tough girl thing!! I'll bet she'll be darling as a pirate!!!pirate:

My 9 year old is pirate all the way! She has no interest in the BBB whatsoever. She is even going on the pirate cruise with her younger brother! So I think Girl pirates- her age especially will be around.

DD4 has a beautiful Cinderella dress as well as a cute Tinkerbell outfit. What does she want to be at the party in August? pirate: Oh, well. I'm leaving the choice up to her. I'll just have to find her one of those cute outfits. So much for the BBB and the princess do with all her long golden hair...:sad1:

Oh, I'm sure that she'll make a really cute pirate-girl! I'm just surprised because she's usually really into "glamour" and "style" and girly stuff like lip gloss and nail polish.

We did BBB this past November and she got the "do" and the make-up and was thrilled with the little beauty pageant-style sash...she just didn't want to dress up as a princess...even though she "dresses up" daily at home in all kinds of funky get-ups!

"Mom, I'm just SO beyond the Disney princesses now that I'm a tween!" :rotfl:

I guess I just miss that princess phase!

BTW, she is busy "designing" a pirate outfit for me, too!

My DD 11 was a Pirate Princess and still had her hair done at the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique. She got the hair style that added all the curly extensions. Although a crown was not included, her fairy godmother in training told us about a pirate princess crown in the Disney store. It is the same as other crowns but has a black skull in the centre. We thought her outfit looked great.

oh yeah, I'm with you. We went last summer and I creid the whole trip. The kids and DH were patting me and humoring me. No one wanted to wait in line to see anycharacters - I teared up. I was sobbing at the dorky Cinerellabration thing because I just know no one will care two hoots about Cinderella by next time we go. DS5yo at the time said, "I will still care about cinderella mommy" - dude! how many times did he say "not another stupid princess" Its the thought that counts, ;)

And my curly blond haired blue eyed princess hacked off her curls, and now that its growing out, they aren't coming back. And she hasn't worn a tiara in I don't know how long. And she won't get off her scooter.
