My DC Monster is Back...With a Vengeance

Sigh. I have been experiencing problems last night trying to explore all the
new eye candy in VMK. It seems that I was able to do some things, like
the Port Orleans pin quest and visit Blue Bayou, obviously, as it's part of
the quest.

I was able to play fireworks, but I freaked out over "Egad, fireworks
everywhere!" So I was able to play it. Once.

But when I tried to get into Club 33 with VMK Pass, or sit in the new
version of the monorail (miss the fish tank, VMK! ) I was crashing.
White box in the monorail.

Then lots of the "original" disconnect blue boxes. During fireworks.
Or waiting for Club 33 (again). I thought I was done with the DC Monster.

Apparently I'm not. I also noticed before the disconnects, there would
be that "lag" where the avatars in a room would be walking in place.

Do any of the techies out there think I need to allocate more virtual memory?
I think I have 384MB used. I tried to clean out my temp files and cookies,
but I was so frustrated I just didn't try to get back in again.

I'll try again tonight and hope the DC Monster doesn't attack.

I had some issues yesterday, but clearing my files seemed to help for the most part....

I too have had numerous visits yesterday with the DC monster and the white box of death. I'd get incredibly laggy and then poof! There i went.:rotf: I never had that many dcs in one day before, and my computer is horrible! Even clearing my files didn't help much and it usually does.

Well, we'll see today. Maybe I'll reboot my computer fresh before opening up VMK later. Thanks!

Second day was same as the first, a little bit better and a whole lot worse!

And I messed something up on my connection, so I have know idea if I'll
be able to get on anytime soon. Let's just say my computer wanted to
assign a new IP address.

Maybe 2007 is the year I stop playing VMK...

I wish I was talking about you instead of the disconnects I've been gettting!
The good news is that my connection did reset, as I'm typing this from HOME
now. Whew.

I'm a little bit scared to try VMK for fear the DC Monster will rear its ugly
head again!

It did for me tonight. I am trying to get my gold fireworks pin. I was winning my sixth game and on round 5 when all of a sudden the connection box came up. And so i have gone from maybe it happening once a day to about five to six times a day. So the dc monster is definitly back. And i have been getting both the white box (vmk has crashed) and also the other box which says my connection was lost.

Tonight was more stable for me, but I had the usual white box crash after
being in the Monorail too long. Music mix crowds will crash me.

I did much better with the general dc box. Not at all tonight. Whew.
