I just received the best news in a long time. My daughter was diagnosed in early September with non-hodgkins lymphoma. It was in early stage 2 and located in her neck and behind her breastbone. She has had three rounds of chemotherapy with 3 more to go. Today she had her pet scan and the tumors have all disappeared. She is now in remission!!!
It makes the nastiness of the chemo now seem so much less horrible. My daughter now understands why I told her to not think of it as poison, think about it as life. I know that remission in her case is 60-40, but I am breathing a sigh of relief for now. We will be celebrating life this weekend!
