On the way home from school yesterday, Sian was attacked and beaten by another girl from her school. She is in a right state and we spent most of last night with the police. Luckily, she has no serious injuries, except a bruise on her face and the loss of a bit of her hair (why do girls always have to be hair-pullers) but she is very shaken up.
I am hoping that the school will finally take the issue seriously as this girl has been making Sian's life hell for the last couple of weeks.
What I couldn't believe is that the school suggested we should keep her off for a few days
Surely this other girls should be the one to keep away

Girls can be so much worse than boys with bullying. I'd agree about keeping your daughter off, just to help her calm down for a few days, but that girl should be suspended immediately and expelled. If she has done this to your daughter then she's obviously a danger to the other children too and someone needs to do something about her.
and I hope she feels better soon. Fingers crossed that the school take the appropriate action asap...
