My daughter is two and this is her third trip. Surprise Dress Up!

Just have to chime in to say last year I made appointments for the BBB right before our lunch at Cinderella's Castle. My three granddaughters (2 4-year-olds and 1 9-year-old) were enchanted. It was the highlight of their trip. None of them mentioned the hair-doing being painful. I'll tell you what though...there is a LOT of hair gel and glitter used.:rotfl:

Went to the Doorway to Dreams event at Woodfield Mall this past Sunday and hung out with Mickey and Minnie for a while...

They did a dance party for about 20 minutes and there were maybe 12 kids there so it was great. Too bad that doesn't ever happen at the Magic Kingdom!

More pictures...

This is definitely one thing I am really looking forward to. She likes putting on makeup and getting her nails done so hopefully she won't mind them messing with her hair. I'll just make sure to bring an industrial sized bottle of shampoo to get everything out! :rotfl2:

I know we were cutting it close, but we finally have flights to Orlando. Phew! Great price and great time. We leave Chicago at 10:59 and arrive in the land of ::MickeyMo at a quarter to 3. Let the packing begin!

We were originally planning on staying at SSR our first night and then transferring over to AKL but our waitlist came through and now we will be at AKL the whole time. We're at Jambo night one and then switch to Kidani but Woo Hoo! We love SSR very much but are very excited to try out AKL. Yeah!!!! :cheer2:

Great news! We stayed in Jambo last year for our first week and absolutely loved the AKL. Will look forward to your reports about Kidani!:surfweb: The pool is amazing!! I think the Jambo value villas are smaller than Kidani but how much are you really in there anyway! LOL

We will be there the same week celebrating my husband and daughter's birthdays. Its getting close. I can't wait. Its our first trip. Hope you have a great time.

I would love to know more about the bento boxes. Do you get to keep them? I am fascinated by them and want to buy some. I didn't know if they would be in Epcott World Showcase?

Your first trip. How exciting! Are you about to burst? If you see us around feel free to say hello.

The bento boxes you get at Kidani are rather large. Almost the size of a tray that you woulld use to transport food at a cafeteria. Japan did have several bento boxes an some accessories the last time we were there. I'm hoping they still have them and they aren't too expensive.

Hope you have an amazing trip! It will be here before you know it! :hourglass

Only 4 short days to go until we are at the world. Very excited! Over the weekend we saw our Aunt who gave us our last installment of dresses for the trip.

Mary Poppins

I love this one. She said it is her favorite and didn't want to take it off.

She is so adorable! I will have to be sure and keep my eye out for the little Mary Poppins running around! :cutie:

Haven't read through yet, but I'm tagging along and looking forward to your reviews on MVMCP. Tell Mickey I'll see him next month! :thumbsup2

Ohhhh I am ready to hear about this!!!

Alright here we go!

Sorry about the delay but the husband got sick the last day with the flu (swine or regular...who knows) and then last Monday my daughter came down with the stomach flu. I have been cleaning and disnenfecting the house to make sure everyone else stays as healthy as possible.

We left on Friday the 6th out of O'hare. Our flight took off at 10:59 and we got into Orlando early at a little before 3. My mom, who joined us, took another airline out of another airport and conveniently arrived in Orlando within 10 minutes of our arrival. Yahoo! There was no wait for the Magical Express Buses and we only waited about 10 minutes to board. Stopped off at Pop Century first, followed by Coronado Springs, Carribean Beach, Kidani and then Jambo House. Lots of stops! We were only staying at Jambo house one night in a studio and then switching over to Kidani in a one bedroom.

We arrived at Jambo and went to get our folder as I had done the pre-check in. We were supposed to have a value view but we were pleasantly surprised when we got to our room and saw this...

What a nice surprise!

We had an ADR for Boma so we got ourselves situated in the room and went down early to see if we could be seated which was no problem at all. Boma was fantastic. We were told by our waiter that we could go to the "pods" in any order but some people didn't seem to get that message and there was always a long line at the first pod and you would get dirty looks if you went to a pod without waiting in that line. It can be a little confusing.

After dinner it was still failry early (6:30) so we decided to hit up a theme park. I asked our daughter where she wanted to go and believe it or not she wanted to see the "big ball". So we hopped on the next bus to Epcot and granted her wish. Went on Spaceship Earth and then stopped off at the Character Spot and found...

And surprisingly in the hallway we found (I'll label for those who don't know who they are)...

Max (Goofy's son...sorry about the blurriness)

Mr. Penguin (from Mary Poppins)

After that we made our way over to Finding Nemo and rode that. Played around in that area for a while

but skipped Turtle Talk with Crush. Our little one is just 3 so she doesn't ask questions or really understand it so we opted out.

We then headed over to World Showcase to find a good spot for Illuminations. Along the way we found...

We ended up in Morrocco mostly because they had a belly dancer and my husband was enjoying the show. She was really quite good and on a couple occasions brought the kids out with her to teach them. Illuminations was amazing as always. I know I'll get flamed for this but I prefer Illuminations much more than Wishes. Sorry, personal preference.

Afterwards we went back to the hotel to rest up for our next day. Had no idea where we were going (which is odd because I am a HUGE planner) so we all decided to sleep on it. In the morning we decided to go to...

WOW! SO many characters in such a short time! I hope I can get that lucky when we go! :thumbsup2

I'm sure you will. They were all over the place. I'll have more updates soon so you can see. We saw people I had never seen before and I've been to Disney 15 times! Especially if you guys are doing the Christmas party, they were out in full force.
