My daughter has sock issues - help!

My daughters (10 & 6) are both sock freaker-outers, too. They will only wear seamless socks. I can usually find them at Kohl's and sometimes at Target. I have to be sure their clothes are picked out (including socks!) before they go to bed or they'd never make it to the school bus on time.

My oldest DD will be 15 in January and she STILL has sock issues and wears her socks inside out. Drives us nuts but they're her feet. I guess one day she will find the perfect pair of socks and wear them the correct way.

My niece has sock issues and I now from hearing my sister-in-law how stressful this can be, especially in a morning time crunch. I have had great luck buying her socks...she just loves them because they are from her favorite aunt.:rotfl: However I do invest a little time and effort into finding ones I think she will like. She has in the past been happy with esprit socks and most recently stride rite and some puma ones that were so soft I wanted a pair. I check out TJ Maxx and Marshalls...mostly because I am cheap, but also because they have assorted brand selections. By the way she is 6 also and I suggested getting ready for school before going to bed:laughing:

Anyway, maybe a special person in her life could help with sock presentation. We know as mothers that while sometimes no one does it better than mom, also mom can't do anything right.

Best of Luck!!:)

Oh forgot to add that my sock hating DD also refuses to wear turtlenecks and always has.

Ok so when is our first meeting of Parents of Kids with Sock Issues? Are we serving snacks? :rotfl:

the atheletic mesh ones? I am a sock freak. I hate baggie socks and need them to be form fitting and snug. I was all into the old nevy socks as well, I also like gold toe. My daughter is the same way.

I bought socks for her at sears. They had adidas socks that were similar and a brand called silvertoe. might want to check them out :) hth good luck.

When I was a kid I was a BEAST!!!! I had to have these particular pair of socks. White ones that went to the ankle with those little ruffles on them? Which soon became impossible to find after 1988 :lmao: And pants? Forget it! I must of drove my mother up a wall. I refused to wear jeans because they were 'itchy' and would only wear cotton stretch pants. I also hated dresses. But one day when I was around 11 I decided that I liked jeans and the socks didn't matter. Kids grow out of those things and it doesn't always mean something is the matter with them. I used to go with my mom to pick out pants and socks so maybe you could try that? I would give the OK to buy them so the only person to get mad at was myself because I picked them out. Good luck

I was the same way about jeans until junior high, always wore those stretch pants from the 80s. I still hate things around my ankles, I wear socks, but in the summer it is all sockless heels/flipflops/etc. :)
