My Daughter has Disney Figured Out

Short back story. We recently returned home from our trip to DL. We got SOAKED on Splash Mountain. It was late afternoon and my 5 yr old was in jeans since it was a cooler day. They were not going to dry before sundown so to help him stay warm we ended up buying him a new pair of pants.

This morning he comes down in his new pants and my 8 yr old daughter says, "I can't believe how wet we got on Splash Mountain! I don't remember getting that wet the last time we went to Disneyland. Maybe Disney added more water shooters so people have to spend more money on new pants."

She clearly understands the Disney business model!

That's not exactly what happened, but your daughter is correct in that you used to not get so wet on Splash. The soakings started after a refurb where they did something, possibly changed the boats, and it caused them to take on water when they head into the water after a drop. You get so much more wet now!
