She got an email today saying her refund had been processed. She checked her account and saw 2 refunds. I paid for the kids, so I’ll be watching for those refunds. Ironically she just requested the refunds weeks ago and I requested months ago and didn’t get anything yet. So you should be watching for an email and/or refunds.

We got ours today as well. Just Covers closure period. We had to cancel two trips already and as it stands now it is unclear when we can even travel to US again (from Canada) and we can’t get any travel medical insurance. The estimate from experts is that travel restrictions will likely be in place through 2020. Given all this, We had contacted AP guest services in May and asked for cancellation option (would be about 8 months worth back). They said they would consider our circumstances and get back to us but They did not.

Are you getting refunded a prorated amount of the original purchase price or of the value at the time the AP was activated? We activated older DVC annual pass vouchers last June, which gave us Platinum Annual Passes. We lost 2 trips, one over Easter and one in late May. Trying to decide if what we will get back will be worth it, or if we need to try and squeeze in another trip by the end of October. We will probably go down to stay at the resort to use some points in Oct anyways, but I'm not sure I'm comfortable going to the parks yet. I don't intend to renew our passes. This was our only set of AP vouchers. I'm pretty sad we activated them when we did. We're really loosing out either way.

Having written NINE letters to Member Services? Can you tell us what your did, in detail, to actually get them to PERFORM?

are you asking about AP refund? You don’t go through dvc. You contact vip annual passholder office/phone number. They pull up your MDE account and mark them for refund. We may have purchased DVC AP, but it all goes through WDW AP. Office.

Wife and myself spent a lovely Sunday morning with the passholder support line. A glorious 2 and half hours :). Had cancelled our August trip and the passes were set to expire 8/23. 5 total gold passes and was originally told that 3 would be refunded for a total of $571 and the other 2 were coming up non refundable due to a food and wine trip I had taken with my wife. We were told there was some formula base upon how many days you had been in the parks. Obviously that is ridiculous because we paid for a period of usage not a set amount of days. Eventually the CM said she used her own calculator and came up with the refund amount with was basically the 4 months of closure. I don't know if this is consistent but don't accept the difference between a 7 day pass etc. vs an AP. If this helps anyone I will have paid it forward.

that’s just crazy. Since the pass is good for 365 days and you didn’t get to use it for the last few months, that should have been the only formula considered. They sold you a pass for 12 months and you only got the opportunity to use it 8 months is wrong. You were entitled to 12 months but they couldn’t offer that. Sorry if I’m ranting. This means no Florida residents will not get a refund because I’m sure most of them go often and more than 7 days. I’ve not heard anything yet on my request for a refund.

We questioned the CM about the amount of the refund and stated that we expected more considering the period the parks were closed and it was at that time that we were put on hold for an extended period and received the prorated amount. We did the math and figured it was basically $58 a month per pass we had paid and that is eventually what was refunded.
