I know that you all don't know me because I very rarely post, but I need to let out some feelings today and I know that you all seem to be there for people when they need someone. My dad died today. He would have been 61 next month. He was a professor at a community college in Pittsburgh. He really cared if his students learned.

I am not sure how to feel. I keep hoping that someone will wake me up.

If anyone can pray for my mom, please do. She will be alone for the first time in 40 years.

My thoughts to you and your mom, femmegirl. I'm about to lose my mom at age 63. My dad will be alone for the first time in 41 years. I understand what you mean by not knowing how to feel. I'm sorry that you and your mom have to go through this - it's very difficult. Spend time with your mom, if you live in the same area, or talk to her on the phone a lot. You can help each other deal with this awful time.
