My dad has passed UPDATE page 7 #94

I am so sorry for your loss.

I would also go on the trip. Disney Magic always helps.

I'm so, so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. The love for him just shone through from your post. I know it's hard. Remember the smiles. In time, the smiles will outnumber the tears.

So sorry for your loss as well, Nutsy.

I am so sorry for your loss. Only you can decide what to do about Disney. This summer my Grandfather passed away a week before we left town and the funeral was exactly a week before our Disney wedding. Having that to look forward helped my family.

I will keep your family in my prayers. :grouphug:

 I truly feel your pain and send prayers of comfort at this very difficult time. May your Dad's wonderful memories warm your heart and guide you in all your days.

Good luck in your decision on traveling. It may possibly be a welcome diverson to bring peace and help the healing. If you honestly feel your hearts not in it and it's not the time, you could always reschedule. I took my Mom on a pick me up BD cruise 9 mos after losing Dad and it turned out to be a wonderful get away for us, making special memories. Our Dad's are at peace now, smiling from above, and want us to go on with our lives.

:grouphug: Nutsy and Marcie too.

I am so terribly sorry to hear about your dad. :sad1: It is always so difficult when someone you are so close to passes away.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I'm sorry for your loss Gail. Having just lost my dad on October 2nd, I know the range of emotions you are feeling. There won't be one single day that you won't think of him, and it'll be that way for a very long time to come.

I'm dreading the upcoming holidays. His 76th birthday is coming up as well, on November 3rd. Ugh. :grouphug:

Gail, I'm so sorry. He sounds like a wonderful father. :grouphug:

Hello Gail and Nutsy,

I am so sorry for both of your losses, and send prayers and pixie dust to both of you. Gail, I think your dad would want you to go to WDW, to a place we all enjoy so much. I say this because my mom died on January 9, 2000, but instead of going to the hospital to see her on January 8, I went to see the Philadelphia Kixx indoor soccer team play. I was told later by my SIL that Mom was absolutely thrilled that I did this, something that I like to do. Gail, if your dad was like my mom, he would have wanted you in WDW, not moping in your house. Go!!

Jim

I'm so sorry, my thoughts are with you and your family. Don't necessarily write off your trip just yet though. You may find after this week is over that it's really what your spirit and soul need, and I'd hate to see it be cancelled and then regrets that it was. :grouphug: :grouphug:
