Back from a seven night stay last week. I was nervous because of a bad experience at Windsor Palms last year, but all in all, we were very pleased with Cypress Pointe.
It was just DH and I, but we rented a two bedroom. We requested third floor, and that's what we got. We didn't ask for, but received, a view of the woods. I was worried about noise, but the only person we heard all week was the maintenence worker who was puting new strips on the bottom of the doors one morning. If we had neighbors, we never heard them, and I'm a very light sleeper. The parking lot near our building was quite full, but we always manged to get a space.
Overall, the condo was very clean. The only thing that was less than perfect was the rug. The appliances were sparkling clean, and the decor was very pleasant. We had plenty of towels and a start up supply of soap, dish liquid, trash bags, paper towel, and laundry detergent. The one thing we didn't have was enough water pressure in the shower.
We didn't swim, but we checked out the volcano pool. That area looked clean as well.
The staff was friendly and polite, and there seemed to be quite a few of them around.
We paid $80 a night through Inntopia for our unit, paying for one night in advance. We called Cypress Pointe about a week ahead of time to check on our reservation. The first three people we talked to seemed a bit clueless and couldn't find our deposit attached to the reservation. We finally found someone who looked it up properly, and we had no problems at check in/check out.
They did call us three times about a time share presentation. The first two times, the phone didn't ring and they just left a message. The third call woke us up one morning (we were sleeping late because of MVMCP) and we asked them not to call again.
We would certainly stay there again if we got a good price, and if current reviews were still favorable. With the renovations, it's certainly a bargain at the moment.
