Back from a seven night stay last week. I was nervous because of a bad experience at Windsor Palms last year, but all in all, we were very pleased with Cypress Pointe.

It was just DH and I, but we rented a two bedroom. We requested third floor, and that's what we got. We didn't ask for, but received, a view of the woods. I was worried about noise, but the only person we heard all week was the maintenence worker who was puting new strips on the bottom of the doors one morning. If we had neighbors, we never heard them, and I'm a very light sleeper. The parking lot near our building was quite full, but we always manged to get a space.

Overall, the condo was very clean. The only thing that was less than perfect was the rug. The appliances were sparkling clean, and the decor was very pleasant. We had plenty of towels and a start up supply of soap, dish liquid, trash bags, paper towel, and laundry detergent. The one thing we didn't have was enough water pressure in the shower.

We didn't swim, but we checked out the volcano pool. That area looked clean as well.

The staff was friendly and polite, and there seemed to be quite a few of them around.

We paid $80 a night through Inntopia for our unit, paying for one night in advance. We called Cypress Pointe about a week ahead of time to check on our reservation. The first three people we talked to seemed a bit clueless and couldn't find our deposit attached to the reservation. We finally found someone who looked it up properly, and we had no problems at check in/check out.

They did call us three times about a time share presentation. The first two times, the phone didn't ring and they just left a message. The third call woke us up one morning (we were sleeping late because of MVMCP) and we asked them not to call again.

We would certainly stay there again if we got a good price, and if current reviews were still favorable. With the renovations, it's certainly a bargain at the moment.

We'll be there for the first time in two weeks. Did you request third floor in advance or just when you checked in? We are travelling with small children and hope for a quiet location if you have any suggestions after your stay there. Was there anything not provided in the condo that you thought would be? Thanks

We did request the third floor when we made that phone call a week in advance. After reading most of the reports here, I would guess that that was the best location if you like quiet. If you can get them to give you a non-parking lot view, that would probably help too. As I said in my first post, we were just lucky in that respect.

I can't think of anything else the condo would have needed. The starter items lasted us for the week, but there were only the two of us and we didn't cook. With more people, you may need to buy laundry detergent and dishwasher soap. Also bring salt and pepper if you are planning to eat in very much. They had the shakers, but they were empty.

Do you remember (if you noticed) how close the closest grocery store is. I believe theres supposed to be one quite close, I believe a winn dixie or a publix.

there is a winnie dixie very close.

there is a publix (2) about 3 miles on the other side of the I4.

Welcome Home:wave2:

We loved our stay at Cypress Pointe last year, so much so that we are going back to stay in a couple of weeks.

There is a new walmart on the SR 535
