So I did the the past Fall Advantage Program. I had a blast. I worked at Hollywood Studios in the Backlands, Merchandise.
Work was good and bad. I had fun and the people I worked with were mostly great. But when it came down to it, it was retail and retail can suck.
The real experience I want to share was the housing experience. I live in a 2 bedroom at Vista Way. My roommates and I got along well for the most part.
Price Management, the people who ran the housing, are a real pain in the ***. It's like you are living in military school. The curfew rules are ridiculous. The rules are crazy but you can get past them. Hookah is contraband in the complex but I smoked in my room quite often. I know people who smoked pot in their rooms too.
I also had people from the other complexes at my place past 1am. It can be done.
Breaking the rules were quite easy, though if you get caught breaking some of the more serious ones, such as the ones I listed, you can get termed.
Underage drinking is rampant there and whoever tells you otherwise is outright lying.
I am sharing this information for parents and College program future attendees so that you know the truth about some things. To the parents, if you don't like the things I said don't let it have a negative effect. Know your kids and what they do, if you can trust them at home you can trust them on the program.
If you guys have any questions I will answer them truthfully. This was a quick write up with not a lot of thought put into it. I may add more later.
Thanks for reading.

Your post is mostly true but it seems a little bit doom and gloom I was underage on my first program and didn't touch a drink nor put myself in situation likely to have me termed...there is no curfew for the people who live IN the complex as far as I remember and guests have to be out by 1am hardly unreasonable (mind you when I was there they barely enforced this rule)
Honestly almost anyone who gets termed due to housing rules deserves the termination for putting themselves in that situation, Hell my program my friends broke a couch and didn't get in trouble.
It's hardly as strict as people make it sound.

Thank you for the insight that College students act like College students.

Hide yo' wife! Hide yo' kids!

Broke a couch?! How! And how did they not get in trouble? Did they just not tell anyone..?

Yeah I mean...there are drunks on the CP and stuff... but you just do you, and let other people do them!:confused3 It doesn't have to affect you at all really...it's a big old melting pot of people. Hang out with people you'd like to be associated with.
