My coworker needs help- lots!

My coworker just sprung it on me that he's leaving for Disneyland this Thursday. It's his neice 7 and nephew's 4 first time. He asked me to make him up a plan......I have been hyper focussed on my DD's bat mitzvah in 18 days and our trip to WDW this October and have lost all touch with my beloved Disneyland. His park days will be:

Friday 5/11 and then two more days between Monday 5/14 and Wed 5/16.

They are staying off propety and will have one MM which I told him to do that Tuesday. They are avoiding the parks Saturday and Sunday.

I told him about no FP anytime after the return time and honestly, I don't know how to come up with a good plan without abusing that FP.

Rapunzel and the Princesses are a must. I think they'll like Jedi Training if his nephew isn't shy.

Toontown will also be a must as you've got to meet Mickey and Minnie your first trip. I haven't been in years but believe it opens up an hour after the park does; I would guess being there right when it opens is best.

Told him to go to City Hall and get first time buttons for them.

I have no idea baout their napping or sleep patterns.

Correct - no FP enforcement at DLR so far, hoping it stays that way forever. Share this board with your coworker.

Yeah, I would send him a link to the Stickies on here. The basic one, hydro guy's tips etc. They have links to all the best info threads in there too. And then offer him a few of your tips. I have never felt the need to have a real detailed plan in DL, just have an idea of things you want to see, places you want to eat and enjoy from there. So hopefully the stickies will give him enough of that info.

I would tell him to get there as soon as the park opens and, if possible, take a midday break, and return in the evening and stay until close. We don't make a daily schedule, but we do have a list of things that we want to get done. This keeps us from wandering around not able to make a decision about what to do. I hope they have a great time!

Thanks! It has been so long since I've toured with little kids. They've also got an 18 month old. I'm telling them to do Fantasyland with their one MM. It's the whole Rapunzel/Princess thing I'm totally out of the loop on. Same with ToonTown but think that's their best bet to meet Mickey and Minnie for the first time.

I don't know their heights but will remind him to check beforehand. There is nothing worse than being all excited to ride and then they're not tall enough.

And for their dates, the only chance for fireworks/Fantasmic is on Friday 5/11.

Thanks! I looked at the calendar but didn't notice Friday is the only chance for fireworks and Fantasmic! Good to know. I'd hate for them to miss the fireworks. With such young ones, I'm not sure that Fantasmic is a must.


I told him to do the Princess Breakfast or Goofy's Kitchen if they want to spend less time in lines. But being that the kids haven't been, he hasnt a clue how they'll respond to the characters.

Looks like only the Matterhorn and Goofy's Sky School are closed- not terrible.
